Nope.

If I had to take a guess, you may very well have the only one in the UK, as even if 65 Ulys were built for export (same amount as US spec), they were still split among various European countries, then Japan and Australia and Canada too.

Nice bike, but I think I'd save my $12k for an EBR 1190AX. (Yes, I know an AX will likely cost much more than this, but it'd be more than 50% of the price.)

I have an '09 XP.
No luggage, no racks, no Police lights.
2010 real wheel and brand new PR2's.
Slightly higher mileage than the one advertized (c27500)
I would be willing to sacrifice it for a mere $9500.

I was told by a friend at Buell that approx 100 domestic uly's made. Not sure if that's a mix of X & XT.
The price is way too high. That's almost list, and we all know they most didn't sell for that.

Used bikes are only worth what a buyer will pay. This dealer knows if it wants a high price for a bike then it has to start high. They'll wish they had accepted offers that they passed on as the bike sits on the floor week after week.

For Odd,

I believe there were more than 10 2010 XP bikes produced for domestic production. I have serial number 15.

The 2010 is a wonderful bike with a number of minor but meaningful improvements.

Your VIN could be number 3000, it wouldn't really mean anything as they are not entirely sequential. For what it is worth, my source from the factory told me only 6 copies of the 2010 XP were built for the US, 4 black and 2 white.

A year ago I paid $5700 for my 2009, 1489 mile XB12X with Givi bags and rear rack plus the thick factory shop manual. Not a scratch or dust on it. That HD dealer is insane.

Total change of subject on this thread but I think it's dying regardless..... Froggy or Ratbuell I'm hoping you may know this but here goes........

My theory.... HD is still selling factory parts..... XP rack is a factory part......

I recently bought a 2010 X......

Can anyone get me the actual 2010 part numbers for the side case racks (Left & Right).... Rear rack and then the arched bracket and turn signal bracket relocator......please please please.....

Oh and if possible the 2010 signal extension number....

Local parts guy stopped listening when I said Buell....

I will be happy with the 2009 numbers as well as I could add my own extensions to the signal wiring....

I have this rack system on my 2006 and absolutely love it.... I upgraded to the larger volume cases via Hepco and Becker.... Can hold a full helmet on both sides.

Cheers-pete

I hope this makes sense....outdoorsman racks basically

Do a search here on badweb - Court posted an excellent writeup including parts lists and photos for the outdoorsman racks and bags.

4_pete_sake, I don't have the part numbers but the racks should still be available.

There is no turn signal extension, they used the same signals but with a longer wire coming out of it, the closest thing to an extension was the mounting bracket for the longer signals.

To clarify froggys post - the kit came with two new signals that had longer wires. 4" longer, I think. Not wire extensions.

Rat-exactly correct on the kit.... I installed it on my 2006.... My hope was for 2010 signals, not the round ones.....

I will search some more....

2010 signals with the longer wires perhaps should be my only concern but even that is MacGuyverable....

Thanks for the quick responses boys

Froggy,

Quote "For what it is worth, my source from the factory told me only 6 copies of the 2010 XP were built for the US, 4 black and 2 white."

I believe I saw it posted on this site the production totals for the different models. I think it was posted in 2010 as things were wound down but I can't find it now. I would have to dig a bit. 15 was what I remember for domestic 2010 XPs.

Some were COVs for demo purposes. It may be that six were sold for retail. I got mine from a dealer in Ohio and he had 2 2010 XPs. He bought one for himself (White) and sold the other to me (black). Both came from HD as part of some internal channel they have for excess products or such that they open up to dealers for bids.

The XP in Wisconsin is 14. I have never seen a domestic number higher than 15 but it may be out there.

Alchemy, does that mean you have the red & blue reflectors? I bought an XP from a guy who works for HD in Wisconsin, and shipped it overseas. Has EVERYTHING but he donated the red & blue light covers to a police department! That's all I need for my complete bike. Any suggestions?

Octo,

Most XPs sold in the US have been stripped of the police lighting bling, mine included.

I have not installed the lighting package yet but I would like to have it. I have seen the package on eBay on occasion for a few hundred dollars. If you have the wiring harness and the controller box then it should be possible to find the rest of the package - light covers should be part of such a package.

I know there are a number of XPs that are used by some police departments (in the US) and I have to think that eventually some of those bikes or light packages will come on the market (eBay).

My bike came with the wiring harness and saddle bags but not the trunk. I was not so happy with the holes put into the trunk to install the lights anyway. I was able to get an identical trunk on eBay intended for a Motoguzzi that is a little more water-tight. Works fine.

I think the 2010 bikes really benefit from the tweeks they include. I am surprised that a 2010 XP in Wisconsin has not been snapped up. I think these bike are just about bullet-proof and issue free.

Good luck with your search, I think you will be successful.

Actually when they had the Buell fire sale closing out the bikes, I never saw any dealer discounting the Ulysses models except Lake Shore Harley and he had about a dozen of them. I think he had them priced around $10,000. The 1125 models R& CR were priced in the high $5000 range.

Alchemy,

Thanks for the reply and the info. My bike is NEARLY a 2010, since I have the 2010 wheels, comfort kit, RSS (carbon), etc. Only missing the 2nd O2 sensor which wouldn't fit my Micron Serpent exhaust anyhow. Oh, I also have a battery tender lead ; )

As for the lighting kit I have everything installed and working. I've currently got it set to just have the lights act like indicators up front and brakes in the rear. What I didn't want to do is spend a couple hundred bucks on a light system just for 2plastic pieces! Those are all I need. I guess I'll keep looking, but if you have any leads or ideas how to get them, I'm all ears. Now that I have removed the airbox cover, siren and often ride without racks/luggage, it would be nice to have the plastic red/blue covers to identify the XP

I have a set of blue/red PAR32 light covers when I converted mine to clear lens. The cover comes off as the foam seal is just some double sided tape on a thin foam seal. I used a X-acto knife to cut off the red/blue lens and put the clear lens on with the old seals.

What color are your LEDs?

Eaglerider, thanks for that info. That is what I thought, as mine has a hard rubber that it seemed the light covers (red & blue) just fit into. Any chance I can buy your light covers? They are simple plastics, and I may have found some alternatives on whelen, but i know yours would fit.

My LEDs are amber at the front, and red at the back, and are programmed to act as extra indicators and break lights. My plan is to remove the elephant ears front and back, and just use the LEDs forward, and fabricate an integrated rear light (i have a very close ducati integrated light from Amazon.com, 32bux)}}

I'll dig up the covers from storage. I don't think you can change the color of the light by changing the lens cover. The light color is determined by the LED and changing the color of the light output.

PM me your email and we can continue offline.
