Everybody can call me what they want I don't give two sh#t's I live in the U.P. of michigan and work outside year round, not bragging I'm complaining, but I won't ride the street bike if its below 40f and not very much cooler I put a halt to the dirt bike.
I have to be cold 5 days a week and I'm damn sure not going to do it for fun on the bike cause it ain't.
The uly is going inside for the winter as of tomorrow the 450x most likely in another 2 weeks.
Big sissy pants signing off, goodbye.

I agree with Bruce. It's not the cold that stops me from riding. My bike doesn't like the ice that will not go away.

Try as I may, the driveway sooner or later gets a layer of packed snow/ice that will not go away until I can break it up in April. The streets are the same way, only it is scattered, so there is no consistant traction for a street bike.

I have no issues with cold. I live in Fargo and chose to stay for almost 25 years. Nobody does that unless you can get used to 30-40mph winds and -20 to -30 for a week at a time. And I have the gear to ride in it, but I think I will put my 91 octane into my sled instead.

Last New Years I rode my sled to the liquor store for Morgan! Hell yes it was fun, and I can't wait to do it again.

I think we appreciate our riding seasons more when they are taken away from us for a few months!

That's the thing with us poor suckers in the great state of Minnesota.
The roads ice over and stay iced over most of the winter.
Once in a while we'll get a warm snap and we can ride but not every year.

Been in the 30's in the mornings but I'll still ride till it's in the 20's.

I got a set of Hippo-Hands and they are IT!!!
My 1125R gives good wind protection, but now I can ride the Uly anytime there's no ice.

Sometimes things happen as a matter of circumstance. One of our Canuck buddies came to Tenn for a spring ride. At normal elevations things were beautiful. Upper sixties sunny, but then we decided he should join the 'mile high club' on his Uly.

Pretty much get to ride nearly year-round here in the PNWet. . . as long as you don't mind getting wet . ..
