EG- I've looked in every hardware store in the area and nobody sells those abs plastic fittings. The lights wait patiently while the search continues. BTW, how are the lights side to side? Did you just put the carriage bolt through square and the alignment is ok?

I got them at Ace Hardware but you could try buy online, try http://www.cornerhardware.com/abs_pipe_fittings/67 48_6951_7744

Or you could use pvc and paint it black with Krylon Fusion rattle can paint. PVC is white but the pieces are exactly the same dimensions.

Start with a 3"x2" reducing coupling

Be creative to finish off the rear. I've done it different ways on my son's bike and the above photos are of my bike. The wire is just neoprene lamp wire which I bought by the foot at Ace. It's very pliable compare to regular lamp wire.

Ordered! $16.79 shipped. I probably spent twice that on gas looking around for the last few weeks. Even the guys at the two Ace stores looked at me like I had two heads when I told them what I was looking for.

I believe you can get those in copper, too. Might make for an interesting look - give you something to polish.

Here are some pictures of mine, they came from Wally World and were chrome, painted them flat black and the brackets are aluminum and painted flat black also. The brackets were made by a fellow BWB member.

Blasterd- I painted them about a month ago. I had to touch up the paint on one of them today. if the paint doesn't hold up, I will have them powder coated.

A very sanitary mount can be made from a short piece of 1/8" x 2" x 2" steel or aluminum angle:

I sanded mine thoroughly, primed, and painted and they're holding up well ~2 years later. They're mounted in between the turn signal stalks and the cowl casting.

Hugh,
I mounted a pair of those in place of the amber turnsignals. I've since gone to larger auxiliary lamps. If someone is interested in buying the turnsignal aux lamps just let me know.
Here is a link to what they look like. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/514202.html?1258656083

I love the various ideas for mounting aux lights - esp the ones mounted off the turn signal stalks and those cool autoswitches. Thanks for the great ideas. Now I've got something else to spend money on.If winter doesn't end soon I'm going to go broke!
