Alright All you Buellers, For those that will be attending the Nellis Stop I have some info and I need a few bits of info. As CharlieBoy said Craig Road is the most direct way to get to base, but there are a few things to consider when taking it: There is a "Food Flavor" plant about half way down that gets rather ... odiferous on hot days and it can be rather congested. I would suggest this route if you are coming from the West/South. If you are coming from the East/North I would suggest SR-604; It skirts the back side of the Raceway here and by-passes most of the congestion. When you get to base please enter using the Craig Road entrance. You will notice a visitors center on the right hand side of the road, please park there and wait for me to come down and escort the main group on. Bb you should have a pass waiting for you when you arrive. I have mentioned gear requirements before and the reflective requirement is rather subjective; a full on safety vest is not required and simple reflective belt diagonally across your torso meets the requirement. If your jacket has a larger amount of reflective material such as piping down the arms and across the shoulders you should be fine. I have spoken with out Security Police and none of you are required to have an MSF course. You will need a current Drivers Liscense, registration and proof of insurance. Each must be up to date or you bike wont make it on base. Ok now for the food and Alcohol!!!! I talked with Ferris and agreed that beer and a Bar-b-que at the hotel on base was a pretty good idea. The question is what would we want to eat and drink? I have access to a pretty good cross section of alcohols and beer at decent prices (guess that depends on how much you normally spend for it though.) I can pick it up early on in the day and you guys can chip in to re-emburse me when you get here. Let me know what you all want to do PM me or post it up here. Josh |

Please RSVP to me for the Nellis ride. I already have Ferris and his lady, Alex, Glenn and Mark all listed to stay over on base. If anyone wants to come on and hang out but not stay I need to know that too... Side thought Gotta wonder if I can convince the local Buell shop to loan me Gear and an XB Long for a day so we can all go cruise the Strip... DaveS Do you have any friends in Vegas?? Josh |

Josh, burgers and beer (dark-ish for me 'n Denise, please, Negra Modelo is good) would be GREAT! and easy to whip up, and inexpensive. MY kind of livin' large. haven't heard from anyone else joining in at Nellis, altho in the coming week anything is possible. my computer access is limited during this ride, so if anyone's got anything to say, say it here and the word will get around. i'll check in when i can. the itinerary is as complete as i can make it, and up to date as of this morning. copy and paste and print whatever you need. ---------------------------------------------- that's it folks, that's all i've got. only for Blue Groove/Northwest have i ever labored quite like this over a ride. with a little luck this thing is epic for EVERYBODY. a million thanks to everyone involved, to everyone who helped me hype this gig in the beginning and actually made it happen! to everyone on the ground who have worked so hard to map out the considerable logistics, to Paul "Madduck" Elliott for believing in me, and to Dave Stueve and the good folks at Harley-Davidson/Buell of Appleton for being, well, so cool. Court Canfield deserves an honorable mention, as does Bruce Zimmerman at Harley-Davidson/Buell of Topeka. thank you gents. and to my dear friend Denise. my BEST friend. stuff like this doesn't happen without someone covering your back. nobody's better than D. thanks sweetie. i'm on a bus in a couple of hours, on a jet plane a couple hours after that, and on a new 2006 Buell Ulysses XB12X a few hours after that. thanks everyone, see you on the road. Dave, Many of us Buellers also own BMW's. You may not want to mention that I sold an R1150GS to make room for this about 4 months ago, based on only rumour and kool-aid. |

Jerry, Well, it's happened again. Life getting in the way of my fun. I've been planning on doing the Appleton to Waterloo leg since you announced the trip. As of last night, I have a house full of out of town relatives. They will be leaving Sunday morning but this is also the weekend my sisters have decided to spring by Dad from the nursing home for the day. This will be his first outing since his stroke. It's going to be a lot of work but he really needs to get out of that place. Once again, family obligations trump all other activities regardless how much I prefer otherwise. I've tried to figure out a way to fit it all in but it's just not possible. Any idea what time the crew will hit the "Field of Dreams"? Maybe I can wedge that in somehow. Damn! I was really looking forward to this adventure. I'm getting tired of being a responsible adult... Brad |

Mikej, the Wizard has a very messy desk. I can see a rubbermaid container I've been looking for behind him. |
