Jerry...We don't do that "traffic school" thingy here in MO...Well, not for "just" speeding...We just pay a bunch of money to an attorney and it goes away...I thought it was kind of funny when a few years back my sister in law was ticketed for speeding in San Diego...And she had to attend one of your CA traffic schools...And her husband was the sheriff of San Diego County...No, not a deputy, THE SHARIFF...Elected for twenty fours years until he retired...And Linda is a juvi girl's probation officer...Now also retired...They're real serious about traffic school in CA and I understand it is quite an "industry"...Read: a bunch of people making money off of it... That is way cool re Nellis...Way to go Josh...That will certainly be one of the highlights of the trip... See you in a few Jerry, Bob |

Big thanks to DBird for his help. We found my shock had blown seals, gold valve kit on hand so SL Motorsports will have it done for me on Tues. Putting the rest back together as much as I can while waiting to finish this project. My wife has been curiously silent on the Vegas matter. I'll have to stand by on that. Sorry. -Mike |

One week from now, some of us will be camped in Appleton, WI, having a few brews, kicking tires and telling stories. I can't wait! what Alex said. They're real serious about traffic school in CA and I understand it is quite an "industry"...Read: a bunch of people making money off of it... it was a pretty lame way to spend a day, but it did keep a nasty little m/c violation off my record, so it was $50 (and eight hours of my life) well spent. i have no doubt a lot of Californicans are doing well in the traffic school business! thanks for the ping Racerboy, see you in a week. Mike, good luck on both projects, the bike and the missus. tell her Ferris and Alex will be the chaperones, and i'm pretty sure she'll give in...

Jerry, Do you have a guess at what time you will be leaving Waterloo on Monday morning? I'm trying to put together a schedule for the KC Mob ride, before I leave on business for the rest of this week. |

I would say 3:30 to 4 pm, assuming a 7 am departure from Appleton and leaving about a half hour each at the Dells, Grant's house and a 15 minute stop in my back yard. I think that is a conservative time frame as well. That will put us in Waterloo around 6 pm, with an hour at the Field of Dreams. |

Directions to Nellis: Either heading North or South on I-15, look for and take the Craig Rd. exit and take Craig road East. So if your on I-15 North, that would be a Right. If your on I-15 South, that would be a left. Craig Rd. runs right into the main gate of Nellis. Can't miss it... We Marines like Air Force bases. They have loose women! I mean a nice E-club...LOL! |

I'm just hopeful that the weather holds out for Brian and his trip in to WI. It looks like the 'cane will be hitting western PA right about the time he'll be taking off. Brian, Watch the weather. |

I remember when I was in the military. To ride a motorcycle on base you had to wear one of those reflective road crew type vests. What are the requirements for that? Just wondering cause I don't think the reflective piping on my jacket or my luggage is enough. |

Charlieboy, thanks for the directions. Iamike, cool beans. will prolly only need the heated gear on Pikes Peak, best to have it along just in case. see you somewhere in WI. Brian, what Alex said. Bb, Josh has said that he'll set us up with any reflective gear we need to satisfy base requirements. our quarters are just two blocks inside the gate, so there won't be much time spent on two wheels on Nellis property. Josh, how are things looking on your end? FB |

Reindog...U R so funny..."rebeerdrate". LOL. U da man! Hey, 104/75 will be perfect. Today I got this cool new tent that is made specifically for the bed of my truck. It will be nice to be off the ground. However, I will be also be bringing the ground tent for those in the need of a tent for the night. Ebear and I are hooking up this Saturday...he is bringing items from the "Ebear Camping Collection" up to my place. This damn double hernia operation I had last Wed. is taking longer to heal than I thought and is kicking my butt. So, I will for sure be the supply vehicle...and may be with the dirt bike...not sure. Look forward to seeing U and the new bike! Jerry, Denise and the rest of the riders along with way...ride to live, and live to ride. Be careful, and see those that are brave enough, at Ocatillo Wells for the "burning". And Jerry, I will most likely see U on Palomar MT..I will also be the chase/photo vehicle up the "dirt" part of Palomar...now that will put the bike to the test |
