Don, the contact list above represents the people who are organizing each of the various legs of the trip, mapping the routes and putting the word out to Buellers and other riders in each locale to come out and play with us as this moto-circus rolls thru. we've got MOST of the program well in hand, but i could REALLY use some help putting the Las Vegas stop together. we've got enough people who've expressed interest in Vegas that we should easily be able to rent a suite on the Strip and bring the per person cost down to almost nothing, but i'll be danged if i can get anyone to step up and take over inking the arrangements for that night. are ya interested in taking over the party planning for Sin City? i'd GLADLY add your name to the contact list if you are... Oh... yeah. I'm a dork. I didn't see the whole "contact List" part . Add me. I'll call Vegas (I've had lunch at a Cracker Barrel with most of them) and let him know what our plans are. I'm sure he'll know more about where we should go vs. where we can go, but I'll get on it . Consider it done. Just got the vacation day confirmed too. I'm in for Vegas all the way through to Ocotillo . (Message edited by m1combat on August 04, 2005) |

Brood: Paul Elliott (Madduck) is the proud new Ulysses owner, and lives in Minnesota. i HOPE to, sometime after the dust settles from this gig and Oktoberfast, ride his bike his direction and present it to him. it'd make a GREAT final chapter to this adventure. |

Brood, Ferris Lets concentrate on getting the ride done first. We have lots of time to get the return done. I am organizing everything for three race bikes for Bonneville at the moment. Team varies from 5 to 8 from day to day and we are down a chase vehicle at the moment. Wish I could help more with the ride but we're going racin!!! |

Madduck, you're loaning me your brand-new no-mile Ulysses and letting me flog my way around the country on it, you're not worried when you'll finally take delivery, and you're not even all that concerned whether or not i end up impaling your new high-dollar motor on a Joshua Tree in the middle of Death-freakin'-Valley, and STILL you wish you could help more with the ride??? wow! you've done plenty, my friend. go to Bonneville and show the bastages how it's done, and we'll take care of THIS end of the bargain for you. Ferris, Sort of that "If I have to explain it, You wouldn't Understand" deals. Motorcycles are about people and experiences. The bike is just the price of admission. Really looking forward to riding this new bike tho. Watch your tires careful. The new design and rock chips may be an issue no one has thought up yet. those of us with GS's and metzeler tires had real problems for awhile. Good stick on pavement equals chunking off the beaten path. |

Okay, I am clear from work, still a loose end there but it will hopefully be taken care of soon. I may need to just hook up with you in Green River or at the 24/I70 junction and will be with you at least as far as the Nevada line, maybe as far as Vegas if my wife can get a day off. Dbird suggested hooking up and riding out from Grand Junction with you... -Mike |

YEEHAAA ! Here we go. Just thought I would chime in here with my 2cents worth. Once Ferris crosses the Great (or not so Great) Plains he will be cutting off of I 70 at Limon CO. towards Colorado Springs. It has been suggested that some Denver folks could meet up with him there to ride with him to C.Springs, but you all may want to just take your route of choice to Manitou Springs where we will be rendevous for dinner. Any C.Springs riders can just meet up for dinner? I am thinking "The Loop" but am up to other ideas. After dinner and?? we will head up the pass to my place near Guffey to continiue the PARTY and then get up bright and oiley for the great ascent up Pikes Peak ! For photo op and general light-headedness. Then back down the hill and off to scenic Cripple Creek and then an adventurous ride down the infamous Phantom Canyon Road. (originally a narrow gauge rialroad, now a fine DIRT road). We will end up on hiway 50 heading west towards Canyon City and the Royal Gorge. For those of you that don't want to experiance Phantom Canyon road there will be an alternative route down High Park road and CR 9 to Hiway 50 near the Royal Gorge we could meet up at. From here we will follow the beautiful Arkansas river to Salida and then on to Monarch Pass and Gunnison, then Montrose for sure and maybe even the Grand Junction! All this is , of course dependant on Mother Nature and how many photo ops grab our attension. Lets have some input on this plan (I use that phrase loosely) from the rest of you Colorado boys and Girls !! Tbear |

nicely done TBear! (had no idea you were such a smiley abuser, tho... ) we're gonna have to watch our time and mileage, 'cause i think Grand Junction is a must in order to keep the following day's ride into Las Vegas reasonable. looks like we'll have a couple of riders coming in from the Salt Lake City area that evening, and Grand Junction would work better for them, too. thanks my friend, can't wait. Phantom Road sounds AWESOME! FB |

Buelling Man!!! That is such a great idea! My sources tell me that there will be a giant Buelling Man delivered to the bonfire. I heard its gonna get so out of hand that participants are likely to act like drunken naked druids around the conflagration of the Buelling Man as it is offered to the spirits. I like the idea of a generator powering a Kegerator containing a keg of factory fresh beer to pump up the frenzy at this pagan festivity. Unfortunately, that idea is probably too complicated and an ice chest full of beer will have to suffice. Buelling Man oughta propel Ocotillo Wells to rereach the glory days when me and my buds used to light off 5-gallon gasoline bombs and magnesium engine blocks out at Pole Line Road. BTW: I am buying the custom Reindog edition of a black XB12X tomorrow. CA license: XB12XXX (<- triple X!). Should take delivery next week but unfortunately, I'll be in England boning up on pagan rituals. |

sheesh, i appoint and annoint Canfield as Grand Omniscient Potentate of Protocol and he's apparently already asleep at the wheel... ReindogForgerTom, i think the idear of a generator-motivated Kegorator (filled to overflowing with Terminator Stout, mayhaps???) for Buelling Man is SPLENDID, and since the GOPoP hasn't jumped in here and done his job (slacker! ), i hereby declare the Kegorator as officially added to the Buelling Man festivities. can't have pagan rituals without copious amounts of cold quality beer, y'know. make it happen, Number One! FB ps: congrats on the new Uly. i need a head count of who's gonna be there on one (you, American Sport Bike Al, the Donfather, and me -- anyone else?), as Denise has something special planned for our elite little esprit de corps...
