Does anyone know of a good product that prevents face shields and eye wear from fogging up? |

If you live close to any snowmobile dealerships, they should carry a anti or no fog type of product. I cant remember what it was that I used, but if I can find it Ill post the name |

Rob: After you finish with all of those bandaids and the next time you need a new helmet try a Scorpion brand helmet. Their shields are made from some material that does not fog. I was skeptical at first but in the last 6 months I find I no longer need to worry about that problem. Besides the shield material, it is a really decent helmet, comparable to my Arais and Shoeis at about 1/3 of the cost. Dave |

WRT to ZOOKE products. I've tried several and the only one that really worked for me was the Z-Wax. It works well on visors and glasses, but needs relatively frequent reapplication. The liquid stuff frankly doesn't do much of anything. Cat-Crap is good too, though I found Z-Wax to be a tiny bit better. |

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I'll try the Cat Crap or Z-Wax first. If that doesn't work, I'll try the pinlock visor. And if that doesn't work, I'll try the Scorpion helmet. |

Cat Crap is good. Fire fighters use baby shampoo. When it vaporizes, the smell is unpleasant, but not especially toxic. You are usually smelling burning hair by then too, & stink is the least of your worries. |

Respro Foggy. Fits into the inside of the helmet and prevents breath from reaching the shield. Image from Kneedraggers.com but I bet any of our sponsors can get one for you. Cheaper than a new helmet and works great. All the other products last for something like 20-30 minutes... more sometimes. Seadrops and other types of scuba mask de-fogging products. Use it like a plastic polish, not to wash the inside of the face shield. Baby shampoo works too in the same way. |
