Almost done with training. I PCS from here on Aug. 17th. Only have 5 days till my final test in my class. Pass it and I am done!!! I will be going to Colorado Sprngs, CO to live on Peterson AFB and working on Schriever AFB. Odd isn't it. Army guy living and working on an AFB... Can't wait. I've been on Ft. Gordon since July 15, 2006. It's been a long road of school, but it's almost over. So, who lives in Colorado Springs and can show me the good roads or at least how to snow board? |

I was at Ft. Gordon too, last duty station was Ft. Carson next to Colorado Springs. Once you get past Manitou Springs, all the roads in that general area seem magic. Have fun. |

Oh man! I just took a look at the map for where Manitou Springs is and went west. Wow, even on the map those roads look like magic. I'm going to have a ball there during riding season. So, who on here lives there? |

Only saw 6 folks listed on the RAN as being in Colorado. When Bonneville was rained out we went on some spectacular rides in the Rockies out of Aarons place in Berthoud, north of Denver. We were all through the Rocky Mt. Natl Park. |

Your going to have a ball living in Colorado! Just head east on HWY50 to Gunnison, just past Gunnison, at the beginning of Blue Mesa Lake, take the turn-off onto hwy149 to Lake City, then down to South Fork, and Pagosa Springs. You'll go over 3 mountain passes and see some of the most glorious roads Colorado has to offer. I'm about 6 hrs south of you in Albuquerque, but spend much of my summer in Colorado riding. There's a pretty active group of Buell riders based out of Rocky MT HD/Buell, you should be able to contact some folks from there in the Storm Fronts/Colorado thread... Enjoy yourself, perhaps I'll see you on one of the rides next summer, and THANK YOU for your service to our country!!! |

Bill, hate to say it but looks like I will not be on the salt this year as my bike is far from ready and getting the new biz up and running is going to consume our time. |

Congratulations, and than you for your service to this great country. And you will get to remeber how great it is every day, because there are incredible roads around Colorado Springs! You will be able to ride until you can't ride any more! |
