I'm curious what you guys/gals think should happen if he's found guilty or pleads out. I've heard he's lost his Nike deal and is now facing a serious suspension by the NFL. What do you folks think is fair for the community and Vick? I found this image on CNN.com a few minutes ago. Some idiot outside a Virgina court house

He ain't getting off. If you're rich enough, you can get away with killing your ex-wife and her boyfriend, but I don't think even Mike Vick is going to beat this rap. Good. |

As an owner of a Pit Bull, (the best dog I ever had) I can't stand dogfighting or anyone that practices or condones it. I don't care if he's the best quarterback that ever lived. He should be made an example of. |

I hope that he gets whats comin' to him. He deserves jail time, fines and to be thrown out of the NFL if found guilty. However, my expectations are low. Seems like superstars of his ilk manage to get away unscathed far too often. Already, the NFL "league officials (along with the NFL Players' Association and the Falcons) have indicated they intend to wait and see how the case plays out before deciding on Vick". Previously, the NFL suspended Adam "Pacman" Jones (Titan's cornerback) for the entire 2007 season just for allegations of being involved w/ a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club. There had been no criminal charges or conviction at the time. The fact that the NFL is going to "see how this plays out" given the severity of the allegations makes me think that they're not going to be willing to give up their meal ticket. Sad. |

I own amstaff's which are basically the same as Pit bulls and yes like it's been said already the best dogs I ever had and the most gentle and friendly, all I can say is, as far as I'm concern he should receive a taste of what he is doing to the poor dogs, I know it wouldn't be smarter then he is to put him in a pit with a dog and let the dog tear him apart but since I love the breed and have been fighting against there rep and any kind of dog fighting well if I wouldn't be smarter then him thats what I would do. For real life and more politically correct way to get him I hope he even get banned from the NFL and go in jail for a very long period of time plus a real fine that will hurt his wallet not just a little one where he can laugh at it because he's got so much money. I think he should be forced to give a years salary to the american humane society,, and community service, as we all know he'll never do any jail time. .....as for the NFL.... he shouldn't be suspended..... he should be forced to return all kick offs and punts and also moved from the quarterback position to tailback. |

Falcon's should dump him. He ain't even a good NFL QB. Whatz his overall win percentage? How many ring's he got? All show & no go. Atlanta will never win any thing with him at QB. If he is proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers. Punish full measure of the law. NFL must treat him jest as they have treated others resantaly. |

"...I want him dead! I want his family dead! I want his house burned to the ground! I wanna go there in the middle of the night and piss on his ashes!" Truly scum of the Earth. I think there ought to be a "pissed away potential" tax increasing the time of incarceration. He and Pac Man can hang out. Another stellar human being. |

I've seen everyone (sportcenter - PTI - Horn)say 95% chance that if these feds come calling it's a done deal. I'll wait till 100% first - and then I'd like to see him made to pick up dog turd in a park every day for 10 years. ***t. Dogs are the best people. |

First, I think Vick sucks as a quarterback. I wouldn't want him on my team, even before this incident. Hell, I predicted his broken leg, but that's another story. Second, I hate saying this, but innocent until proven guilty (Although I lean towards the guilty side). Now, if he is convicted, or even cuts a deal where he admits to some guilt in it. Ban his butt from football forever. If they find him guilty, lock his butt up for the maximum sentence, maximum fine. Make an example of him. Professional sports leagues, teams, owners and players unions need to get together and establish a morality clause in the players contracts. Other players need to stand up for themselves, because when players do stuff like this, it puts them all in a bad light. (i.e., another NFL player in trouble). |

Hey Rag! Dont beat around the bush, tell us what you really think! LOL I heard the term a--hat here and feel it fits Vick very well. Danger: you are sooo right, dogs are the best people. My last pooch saved my baby daughters life. Yes she did. Woke us up when kitchen caught fire. Shorted out refridgerator caused carpet to smolder then catch fire. Baby girl was right next door. Man I miss that hound. 17 when she passed away. |

"..I think Vick sucks as a quarterback..." Absolutely! He proved that in the playoffs last season. At that point where a QB's mental toughness and leadership has a chance at getting a team back into the game, he is already making excuses and looking for guys to blame things on. Pretending like none of the bad things are happening on his watch. My role model for quarterbacks that are cool and tough under pressure is Tom Brady. Michael Vick is tarnished as morally corrupt by his association with the events at hand if not actually guilty of crimes. The events that occurred are simply hideous. I would not contribute in any way to any team, venue, or product, that allowed him to be a part of it. Jack |

OK I must say i can not stand when people putt the breed of American Pitt Bull Terriers in mad light my mom owns a non profit orgnization that finds good homes for mistreated APBT's as well as she has her own blood line and they are down right just part of the family. They are the best tempered dogs i have ever been around more so than most pure breed dogs and are less mantinace than most pure breed dogs. As long as I live I will never ever own another dog except my APBTs As for as Micheal Vick we should take him out back and put him on the "family tree" |

Any dog can become vicious. Mistreat a Beagle, and it will do it's best to rip your arm off. It's just that the mistreatment of Pit Bulls allows them to use their immense bite force and physical strength in their viciousness. |

There are very few bad dogs out there and too many bad dog owners. Ironic who the real animals are, isn't it? In the US, you are innocent until proven guilty. Yeah... Michael Vick is innocent... like OJ is. If it werent for the squabbling of the local officials involved (great when the Law get's in the way of the Law, isn't it?), this indictment would have been issued months ago. |

You are so right, Dj, I'm sad to say. I'm betting he'll be able to parlay his wealth, fame and race into no punishment, which is the worst possible example that could be put forth to the public, especially to kids. Why oh why can't we start making examples out of crap excuses for humanity like this? |

Not sure why you want to drag the NAACP and ACLU into this, but if they get involved in Michael Vick's defense, your assertion will be supported. |

i dont want to sound racest but i hate those two orginaztions. Look at that radio guy that got fired cuz he stated his opinion about a basket ball team. That just so happened to have one of those organiztions head peoples daughter. Those orginaztions claim to try to make things equal rights and stuff but in the end they are actually more racest than any one eles and always throw race in to any thing that has to do with a person of color (Message edited by firebolt020283 on July 20, 2007) |
