I will be there Saturday. I hope I can get on parade lap escort duty so I can do a couple of hot laps after the parade lap is over. |

I'll be there for the whole weekend. Probably not on my Buell though. I'm bringing my restored 1975 Suzuki GT750 that I've had for years and few other "vintage" bikes to sell. So do you guys think Buell might be recognized since they "began" with a Sportster motor? Sportster is the Marquee or focus bike for the weekend. I think they should be. By the way, this is the first time they have had a single model as the Marquee instead of a Factory Brand name. |

I went to the Superbike finals at Mid-Ohio last year and some of the people I met were really talking up the vintage motorcycle meet. Apparently, it's a HUGE and immensely cool event with racing of all kinds - dirt/track |

I'll be there, a group of guys I ride with have been going for 10 years. Its a great event, very relaxed, tons of racing, demo rides etc etc. Camping is always a blast. I'll be there on my 83 KZ750 (little more vintage than the 01 X1) which should turn 100,000 miles on the way there. We always camp toward the treeline. See you there Some Buells at VMD past http://www.mbsween.com/vmd/gangofbuells.html |

I highly recommend this event!!! I have gone to VMD the last 3 years and plan on it again this year. I camped the last two years and stayed all three days. They have everything but drag racing and hill climbs. Huge swap meet with about 900 vendors. New bike demo rides. That's when I got to ride the Ulysses for the first time. Last year they had MV Augustas and I rode the F4-1000. The roads around there are excellent. When you go on these demo rides there are usually two to three factory guys. One in front and one at the rear. Riding the MV I had to get into the triple digits to keep up to the leader!!! What blast. Most of the demo rides are spirited and the cops direct traffic to let the demo riders in and out of Mid-Ohio. Obviously, they know who is paying the bills there. Bikes I have ridden at VMD: Ulysses, Lighting Ducati Multistrada MV August F4-1000 Harley VRod, Fat Boy CVO Kaw KLR650 BMW R1150GS, HP2 Various Jap bikes They have all kinds of racing. Trials, motocross, road, flat track Bike shows on Saturday and Sunday. I will be working the show Sunday morning. Organized rides. I went on the ride to the Ashland county fairgrounds to the flat track races. There were so many turns there is no way I could have back tracked that ride. I likely will be there all three days and camp again this year. Last year I worked two mornings for the Hall of Fame Museum and didn't have time to see everything. So this year I am only doing one morning. Oh yeah, they have an auction on Saturday evening. There are always some very good deals there. |
