The Vanson shirt deal was a mistake made by someone at Harley-Davidson. It should have been corrected but hasn't. Someone needs to be accountable. The Vanson mess is unacceptable. Court |

That's what road trips are for. My dealer (Detroit-HD) doesn't keep any Buell clothes around, either. I've bought gloves or shirts from the dealers in Dayton, Toledo, Youngstown, Fort wayne and Lima. I'm still hoping Detroit will start stocking more. I picked up my Uly from it's 1000 mile service yesterday and they only had one Buell in the showroom. They must have sold 6 in the last couple months |

Does anybody know where I might find a Buell T-shirt with a pocket? |

Vanson???????? I know getting leather takes months from them.....Well I am an of extra fat size....... What the heck were they thinking?????? The sales people work on commission guys.....There is more commission on just about any harley than there is on a buell. Lets face it 10k verses 15k plus chrome. |

I am also looking for some Buell T-shirts and gear and am not having much luck. Most of the H-D dealers around me no longer carry Buell's at all. And the ones that do had little to no shirts and stuff. I also checked out most of the sponsor sites, Liberty Buell seems to have some nice stuff but I guess they think that all Buell riders wear smalls and mediums lol I have done come to terms that I am never going to fit in to a medium again so whats wrong with having some XL stuff. Appleton H-D Buell has some nice sales floor pics that show the Buell gear they have, but there is no way of actually looking at or purchasing the shirts from their site that I could find. And I certainly am not going to drive 400+ miles to look at some shirts. I guess I will just have to keep my eye on ebay or hope a dealer in my area starts carrying some shirts and gear. I might just wander over to my dealer and ask to see some catalog with Buell shirts and stuff and make an order. That might stir the pot a little. |

That's a sweet shop! It has everything Buell owners want to see: A great selection of bikes (+ a couple of customs), motor clothes & accessories, and the brand is prominently displayed, the bikes aren't hidden away. Impressive, way to go! |

Posted by Toona on Friday, May 25, 2007 - 12:07 am: Wow, impressive display, you were doing really well until I noticed you are selling the folding hats that were supposed to be given away..... What's up with that? Toona, Yeah, I know...It feels a little weird, but here's the deal: these were overlooked during the cap giveaway last year. When they turned up, we decided to sell them because the deadline to get credit from Buell had passed. The dealerships have to pay for all these promotions (caps, backpacks, etc.) and then, to get reimbursement, submit paperwork that shows they were given away to customers on behalf of Buell (or Harley, as the case may be). This is a good deal for everybody because Buell gets greater exposure, the dealership gets more traffic (and, if handled properly, it's good P.R.) and you get something cool for free! After a certain deadline, though, Buell/H-D won't accept any more paperwork and any that weren't given away are then considered "bought" by the stores just like any other merchandise that we sell. If something is misplaced like these were, and then found after the promotion is over (it was only like 5 or so caps), the dealership would have to take a loss to still give them away (which we've done anyway with a couple of 'em, as giveaways at our bike nights). Plus, people aren't even be able to download the paperwork from Buell's website after the promotion is over and so wouldn't know to ask for them. So instead, we're just selling them at a big discount to recoup the advertising dollars (notice they're only $9.00, rather than $20.00). I hope that answers your concern and I also hope that your opinion of us will swing back to the positive. We're certainly trying which, according to comments here and on other boards, is more than can be said of many dealerships around the country. Sorry so wordy, but I felt you deserved a thorough explanation. Thanks, Jay James M. I stopped into Lake Erie Harley in Avon Oh today since I was in the area and wanted to see what they had and I left disappointed. They had 3 Buells on the floor 2 firebolts and 1 Uly and no demo bags. On the cloths rack they had 3 different T-Shirts and a jacket none of which they had or could get in XL..... Too bad, I really wanted to buy something too.... Oh wait I did I got 2 screws that hold the left side chin faring on for $17 |

Daves, Sorry for the delay. Had to find someone who actually KNEW what they wanted for the 1450 Race Bike. I'm told they have it for sale for $28k. It started life as an XB9R that was raced by the former GM's son Rodney Scott Barkalow (ask Henry Duga,; he knows him). He even raced at Daytona and came in 4th in his class (don't know which race). Anyway, they tore it down completely and built it back up as a big-bore. It hasn't been raced since. Court, Not sure whose idea the Ulysses display was, but I'll relay your compliments to Brad, our Sales Manager. We're certainly trying! HellBuelly J (James M.
