I'll be flying in for a hotrod show at the fairgrounds this Thursday (thru the weekend). I'm looking for suggestions for some good local eats. National chains just don't cut it anymore.

I'll be staying at a hotel on the NW Expressway, but will have my GPS, so addresses would be appreciated.

I'm going to assume you're staying at the Hilton or the Marriott near Expressway & May Ave (isn't that where the check-in is?) Do you have a car is the SW Nat's? My father's car club runs the swap meet out there, been going since I was in the womb.

Depends on what you like. For a good onion burger check out Bunny's Onion Burgers on the southeast corner of 50th & Meridian. For good mexican food, try Ted's Cantina Escondido on approximately 70th and May ave. For a good chicken fried steak try Ashley's near 39th & Ann Arbor (39th is Rt. 66). For a good steak, try Cattleman's down in Cowtown (Agnew Ave. south of I-40). For the best pizza in OK check out Hideaway Pizza on Western Ave. If you like chicken, check out El Pollo Chulo on 23rd St. east of Meridian. I love to get the boneless broiled chicken with rice, black beans and spanish potatoes. The owner is a really nice guy too.

Also, if you haven't been before on Sat. night there is a big cruise on Meridian ave. South of Reno Ave. I;m not sure if it will happen this year, there is a lot of road construction. Let me know if I can be any more help.

Just checked your profile. Are you a vendor and if so will you have a booth set up? If I make it out there I'll stop by and say hi.

I stayed at the Airport Hilton SEVERAL times and you couldn't beat the food IMHO from across the street at Tony Romas. Sorry, don't have an address. The Airport Hilton is close enough to May Avenue and the Fairgrounds and if you are going to the cruise of Meredian, the Hilton is right there and you can camp (hang, sit) out front.

Nasty, yes, I'll be a vendor at the show. It's been a few years since I've been there, 2004.

If you want to get together, please stop by! Getting together with fellow Badwebber's is always a good time!

I'm bummed that I can't take my Buell to this meet, but I'll make up for it at my next show in Knoxville, TN. It's a little over an hour to Deals Gap/Dragon!
