shoei hornet see also my post on the Airoh Tyger ( I mistyped the original post as aeroh, if you use search) the dual sport helmets are big in europe, but then you get into shipping, and possibly DOT certification issues... |

I have a Shoei Hornet like this:
I ordered it direct from Japan off of eBay. However, I don't have a "Shoei head". It is uncomfortable and starts to hurt my forehead after about 30 minutes. Anyone interested in making an offer...it is size large and in excellent shape. |

All of the Scorpion offroad helmets are DOT/SNELL certified. Cheaper too. They look badass.

All of the Scorpion offroad helmets are DOT/SNELL certified Doesn't appear to have a shield. Are you wearing goggles with it? |

AeHolton - What is a 'Shoei headshape'? I'm interested. I think Shoei helmets are designed for those with a more round shaped head (when looking down from the top). I have a forehead like a caveman and I believe my head is too long from front to back. Since I bought this helmet I went to the local Cycle Gear shop and tried on other Shoei helmets. I noticed they are all tight on me at the forehead. I fit better in HJC and AGV helmets. |

Helmets sold to different continents are made to fit different head profiles. That's why you gotta try before you buy. |

Simpson sells a face shield for their GS-3 MX helmet.
