I had a decent amount of police buell pics on my computer, but the crack heads invaded and took my computer. I have a lap top on loan, and am looking to re-find the pics I had saved. If anyone has some that they could post and I could save, that would be wonderful, thanks. Take care, be safe.

Put a black air box on the TT, a big star on the number plates, load it with the radio equipment.... And I will put in my app for patrol duty : D

i've always wondered if anyone uses the buell for the police dept. the way that bike can slingshot you out into traffic real quick it would be hard to get away from it i would think.

I was thinking about this the other day. Police Departments usually buy domestic vehicles. But when it comes to having a police interceptor motorcycle a few depts have gotten Busa's. If Buell makes a hypersport bike, something that can chase down the average kid on a 600 race bike or even a liter bike, then it would be great to see some used as police bikes.

Buells have served a number of Law Enforcement Agencies.

There is no longer any predisposition towards "buy American" among agencies. Harley-Davidson has a division totally dedicated to law enforcement products.

There have been some very interesting Buell made for both "real" law enforcement and, maybe the funnest, the collection of S-1 Interceptors made for the Harley-Davidson 95th Anniversary bash.

I remember an article in Battle2Win regarding some S2 police bikes in Georgia, I believe. I've got the magazine at home, but it was pretty neat.

How did I know you'd clarify that comment, Court?

I really miss Reg's Battle2Win - that was a great magazine...I think I have every one (the first few were copies made when I ordered the back issues).

From http://www.ukemergency.co.uk/police/police27.htm
NK06 MKA Cleveland police have this Buell Ulysses. It is fitted with blue flashing lights on the handlebars and another one is attached to the rear. It is decked out in the usual battenburg markings. An unusual feature of this make of motorbike is that there is a belt driving the rear wheels rather than a metal chain.

You are clairvoyant. . . . see I just KNEW you were!

Funny Tale: There is a rather well known Buell personality who'd wife is a quite regarded psychic. Personally, I'm no fan of the stuff but she does a lot of work with the FBI and other fed agencies. My favorite greeting, whenever I used to see her, was "Hi Susan. . .how am I today?"

Historical Tale: You nailed it about Reg. I really miss writing for him. Reg is smart beyond the industry and brings alot. As a intellectual he's also one of the dying breed of folks who can be party to a spirited conversation, on a wide range of issues, and hold a dissenting opinion without resorting to name calling, having to teach you a lesson, or calling his Senator friend to sue you.

I miss his, I miss the magazine and I miss writing for and with him. Next time I see him, he's buying lunch. . . . we'll argue about it then.

: )

I know where 2 of the 3 1996 S2t Duluth Police bikes are, I believe the 3rd was parted out in a most undignified way.. Never was able to keep up with the 1997 S3ts that replaced them though...
Court do you know what happened to the DARE S2???
