Try a Riesling.
Way too sweet for my palate but for someone who prefers a desert wine...

Sancerre is a fabulous (French) desert wine. My favourite.

If it's your anniversary have it with oysters.

Oysters for desert? What are you thinking?

Oysters for appetizer, and desert after the sex!

If you want a sweet dessert wine, go with something asian. Japanese and Chinese have some very sweet wines, but it's all in your taste, and of course, the meal being served.

There is a raspberry merlot sold by Williamsburg winery.

The only way to drink it is by taking a bite of dark chocolate then a swig of the wine.

Add some candles and a cozy setting...

http://www.williamsburgwinery.com/raspberry-merlot.htm

It would be worth it even if you have to pony up for a FEDEX.

Trust me.

'Late Picked' or Botrytis Rieslings are probably the sweetest dessert wines.
Anything from Australia will be fine!

Look for a "Moscato d'Asti" for a dessert wine.

For something a little closer to a sweet champagne, "Asti Spumante."

Can't go wrong with either of those!

EIS WINE
can't go wrong here, picked after the frost it is outstanding, and has a high concentration of alcohol too
There are some good local makers as well. I too do not care for sweet wine but here I make an exception.

"Try a Riesling.

I had a glass of Riesling (can't remember the vintner) that was so sweet, I found it almost undrinkable.

Should be perfect if that's what you want.

A fruit flavored Zinfidel might be good. I got some strawberry flavored stuff for my girlfriend, and it was actually pretty good. I hate sweet things, and this wasn't too sweet at all.

For desert try Dubonet or a good tawny port. Some port is very reasonably priced too. Serve over ice if you like. Add some ginger ale for a nice wine cooler. : )

Boones makes some kick ass fruity stuff. If you are willing to spend the extra fifty cent MD 20/20 is hard to beat (hard to drink as well).

MMMmmmmmmm...Boones farm strawberry is the best. Twist off the cap and drink from the bottle. I love that stuff since a kid.

Try a German spiced wine, Gloeb Vine?(Glow Wine, or Christmas Wine), its a grape wine with spices, served slightly warmed, or cold. It is an out of the ordinary treat.

Ah Boones Farm! You guys beat me to it. It was the best in college when we couldn't afford anything else. It would be better if it was stronger, like say, a bottle of light beer?

Nurnberger Glubwein, Gerstacker, Nurnberg, Germany

Grape wine with spices, a treat not soon forgotten!

With a traditional twist off cap to boot!
