Your dealer is right, bodywork is not covered by an extended warranty. |

>>>>I should deal with getting BMC to warranty my saddlebag inner[cracked-split]on their 5 yr ext. warranty Buell has nothing (actually...taht should be "little" to do with the extended warranty. The exteneded warranty is an "after market" accesory sold by dealers. It's a deal between you and a 3rd party, essentially an insurer, that Buell can not even get a copy of or find out what is covered. If you "the fiberglass parts are the things I bought the extra warranty for. you may have chosen poorly as bodywork is excluded. Send a picture, VIN and description of the problem to buellquestions@gmail.com and see if you have any luck. |

S3ters - Did you ever get a response on this from BMC? I just bought an `01 and a week later I discover my saddle bags are both cracked... Seems like they ALL crack. I'm probably going to do the Al Lighton repair and fiberglass the inside. Or I should say, I'm going to find someone and pay them do do it... |

Buell has nothing to do with the extended warranty. |

Court - you recommended that he email a picture of the crack along with his vin number to buellquestions@gmail.com. I was inquiring as to whether he got any response from that - or if he ever did it for that matter. I understand that Buell has nothing to do with the extended warranty. |
