I'd like to ride from the Northeast to North Carolina in the fall. Take scenic roads down, ride the Dragon and then visit Kevin. Check out his shop and eat or something. He mentioned a lunch at his shop. The parking lot will hold fifty bikes. Then I'd like to visit Mike at his shop. Hang out and shoot the . Do some riding. I bet they could take us on some nice rides. I'm sure they no where to find motels and that kind of stuff... Besides on the off chance that something were to happen to the bikes at the dragon, they would know how to resolve the situation. I hate bieng broken down far from home where I don't know anyone. I think it would be a cool road trip!! Its an idea. If anyone is interested, we could come up with some dates. |

Hit stormfronts C-3 section. I live in central NC and would be up for a ride. BadWebbers always welcome at my house, and I have a trailer just in case. |

I live in Berwick, which is near Bloomsburg. Bloomsburg is between State College and the Poconos on Interstate 80 if that helps. Hope that helps. Where are you from, Nadz. I see that your profile states Watertown, NY, but that must be old. |

I think we would have to spread this out over 5 or 6 days. I want to enjoy the scenery and not kill my back in the process. It would be great to pick up people along the way. The Dragon is at deals gap in N.Carolina. 318 curves in 11 miles! http://www.tailofthedragon.com/ Some plans may come about at Buell day. Keep checking the thread. |

Just a quick note about Deal's Gap- I've only been there on a weekday myself, but I've heard countless horror stories of the traffic and law enforcement at the gap on the weekends. If you're going to spend a couple days in the area it would probably be best to schedule your time at the gap during the week and use the weekend for sightseeing in other areas. |

Spike, Your right. Traffic, cops, and most of all squids! Everyone wants to "slay the dragon" and get a sticker and T-shirt. Weekdays are the best days to ride on monday-thursday. I'm in for this trip, set a date Trac95ker. |

I 2nd the weekday trip to the Dragon... plus there are tons of great rides in the NC/TN/GA area. Even the Blue Ridge Pkwy is a great ride as long as you keep it toned down... 'course if you want your picture taken on the dragon you need to go at least on a Friday... I'll hopefully have my Uly and boken in shortly can't wait to get back on the road and up to the mountains... The end of September is a great time to be in that area (heat and humidity finally breaking) except for the blue hairs and soccer moms leaf hunting. |
