OK, I went riding with my buddy this weekend, and his Road King uses the turn signals as extra brake lights when he is breaking..If turning the signal still blinks while the other lights up with the brake light..How can I wire my bike to do this...

Larry

I know I spelled light wrong....

Koz,
Since you seem to be knowledgeable regarding lighting/electrical system can you take a stab at this one?

i did notice today that the bike has had an aftermarket LED taillight installed. Could this cause a problem?
Thanks in advance!!

Jackson,

I am no expert in this field. I own a small company that does LED installs. I did come up with the following post but decided to post it here rather then in your thread.

First let me say that all electrical problems suck!

I looked at this thread earlier but didn't know if I could offer much assistance. On my bike (which is a tube frame) I removed both the side stand and clutch saftey switches. If you were to do this I would think your Neutral light would stay on all the time (not that it is supposed to). Your LED tail light should not hava any effect on this problem.

So that would leave me to do this. Either take the bike in and let someone else figure it out, or bypass both switches and remove the bulb for your neutral light. If it is a matter of $100+ I could live without a neutral switch. If you do go this route. Make sure to test the bypass of both switches before doing anything permanent

Koz,
I appreciate the input.
Looks like I will be keeping my Sept. 1st appointment LOL!

Have them look the whole bike over since you just got it. Better safe then sorry. A few bucks spent up front can go a long way.

Also, don't be discouraged. The Buell is a good bike. The best thing you can do is educate yourself about it and spend a little time doing preventive maintnance. I got 13,000+ on my 2002 and have had no major issues.
