I'm kind of liking the FXDBI street bob also;

Engine Revolution®, 60° V-Twin
Displacement 79.0 in.³
Engine Torque 97.0 ft. lbs. @ 7600 rpm
Fuel System Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI)
Miles per Gallon

Wonder what the HP is. Well, 97 ft/lbs of torque has got to be fun. I bet there's a reason why they don't list the MPG though. lol.

Is that VRXSE street legal with the wheelie bar removed? Looks like it has a headlight and taillight on it. Wonder if any dealerships will get one for display points.

When a bike is made for 1/4 miles runs the fuel capacity is more about ballast than distance. ; )

What the DMV and DOT don't know won't hurt them.

To calculate motor full-load torque, apply this formula:

HP = T x RPM / 5252

T = torque (LB-FT)
HP = horsepower
5252 = constant
rpm = Engine speed in revolutions per minute

********

97.0 LB*FT x 7600rpm / 5252 = 140 HP

Peak HP is likely up a lot further in the rev range though at a slightly reduced torque. I believe the 170 HP number. : )

It all depends on if they are using 1/4 mile quarter horses, or Milwaukee Clydesdales.

Yes, you can buy a drag version V-Rod for $30,000 that's almost as fast as a stock Hayabusa in the 1/4 mile. Good enough for cruiser guys, not good for sport guys.

The above was posted by "Anonymous" in another thread.

I'm also willing to bet the MSO (factory title) is branded with "Race use Only, Not legal for street use". Of course some of us have friends or know stupid people that work for DMV.
