I stopped at the local "no name" Harley fixer upper shop on the way to work and picked up a filter for the XB. They gave me the same filter that fits the V-rod. ?? Will this one work for the XB as well? It looks much bigger than what is on there now. The p/n is 63793-01K. Any ideas??
Thanks!

I've never tried it, but it is most certainly not the same filter as used on the XBs. The XB filter is 63806-00Y and is the same as the filter on the Blast.

I'd be hesitant to use the V-rod filter unless you come across some new information.

Thanks Spike. Maybe thats what I heard before, that they would work on the tubers.

Anyone know for sure??

Looking at the Fram online catalog(reference only mind you) the part number for the XB series and Blasts is PH4967
Tubers is PH6022
V-Rod is dunt da da duhn...not listed...

XB's use either fram ph4967, Autolite pf-1220, fleetguard lf779, or Purolator l14477. If you choose to go that route.

I will refrain from stating my personal views on oil and filters as there are numerous pages of both from many, many people available in the Knowledge Vault.

The Vrod filter only fits the Vrod - it has metric threads that won't fit other filter mounts.
