Closed an latched one of my S3T bags as usual (with my jacket inside!) and when I left the latch it does not open. Any suggestions as to how to get in it? It was OK with my mesh jacket when the temperature was in the 80's, but it is a lot cooler here in SoCal today. |

Mine did the same thing. It was a broken tab on the latch. Had to drill the screws out on the outer bag cover to get in. I ordered 2 replacement latches and did both bags just incase. |

Don: No bigger...you may need to redo the latches. As a former neighbor (Manhattan Beach. . . later Marina del Rey) I'll be happy to zoom a set of latches to you. You'll use a hacksaw blade with a piece of duct tape wrapped on the end, slice the hinges open and go about fining it. Drop me a note at THIS ADDRESS and be sure to put S-3 Latches in the subject line. Court |

alternate route: before you cut your hinges, you can drill down through the latch and use a properly reshaped coat-hanger to gain access (thus saving your hinges). Steve(2) only have had to do this twice |

I was able to (twice so far) of using a long thin screwdriver. Just separate slightly and slide in screwdriver to push linkage to open. I had to take apart the other bag (10 minutes) to see how the latch worked, but had no damage and got the bag open then repaired with new latch. Kind of like opening a locked car with a coat hanger. |
