This is a Question... It is not a wish, desire, or reccommendation. I'm just looking to be skooled.

Are there, have there ever been, air cooled V4's?

Would a V4's [probably/possibly smaller] cylinders generate enough heat that could not be radiated in this configuration?

I think Honda had a V4 cruiser, in the 90's. It would have to be liquid cooled.

I think Harley actually did make an air-cooled V-4, but it wasn't an MC engine. It was for "drone" aircraft used for target practice.

The ill fated modular engine program wasn't called Vega, it was called Nova. I can see how one could get it confused, both related to cr@ppy economy Chevys.

First, lemme say that there is nothing economy about my nova, and it had withstood, almost 8 years of constant abuse....

Anyway, I know my KZ 750, circa '84, was aircooled, though it was an inline 4...

Old man has a square four. The rear cylinders run hot and cause all sorts of problems in the Australian summer. I really couldn't call it air cooled though cause the richness of the tune required makes it more fuel cooled.

It's not air cooled and it's not a V-4, in fact it's not even a four, but what about the Polaris Indy 650 snowmobile?
