Just had this mailed through from my sis'. Pass it on. > All mobile users pay attention. If you receive a phone call and your mobile phone displays (ACE) on the screen don't answer the call, END THE CALL IMMEDIATELY, if you answer the call, your phone will be infected by a virus. This virus will erase all IMEI and IMSI information from both your phone and your SIM card, which will make your phone unable to connect with the telephone Network. > > You will have to buy a new phone. > > This information has been confirmed by both Motorola and Nokia. > > There are over 3 million mobile phones being infected by this virus in all around the world now. You can also check this news in the CNN web site > > 'PLEASE FORWARD THIS PIECE OF INFORMATION TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS WHO HAVE A MOBILE' |

Ok, now I've had this from, a friend of my sister's. Anyone know what's going on here? There is NOTHING on the CNN website, the Nokia website or the motorola website. Looks like viral marketing for these companies to me. Probably a hoax designed to either slow the global internet down or advertise for CNN, I would suggest that you do not forward this on to the rest of the world |

Bogus. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/mobile.htm That being said, several mobil phone virii have now been spotted in the wild, though they are incredibly rare and not particulart virulent. They travel by bluetooth (range about 3 meters), not by phone calls, so in a great irony, you now have to walk by someone to get infected. |
