Hey, I know it's not a Buell but thought you might like to see it. I just finished it for Joe Kopp. http://www.westernartandportraits.net/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/joe kopp3.jpg |

Thanks glad you like it. I did it for Joe himself so I'm not sure if he's going to be making prints or not. Maybe check his website and ask him in a couple of weeks. I do mainly commission works of people and their bikes and don't really get into the printing end of it. |

Thanks. It's done with prismacolor pencils. Here is one I did a while back in charcoal.

Thanks much for sharing! Many years ago I did quite a bit of sketching, still have some framed on the walls. I'd thought of doing some moto stuff one of these days...either colored pencil or pen and ink w/ watercolor wash. Your work will help keep me on track to that (eventually, when I can find time for another interest) goal. Very cool. |

FYI... We have a local artist that does motorcycles, cars, planes, etc. He can reproduce and sell all but those Harley Davidson Products. They busted him and threatened with a lawsuit that would bury him financially forever. Of interest, the licensing agreement would have accomplished almost the same results regardless of his potential sales volume. The inverse is, they would allow him to do individual paintings of owners bikes if he was commissioned by the owner and he didn't reproduce the paintings. I have a strong feeling that Buell would be under the same restrictions from HDI. |

Yes, HD/Buell are both really on top of this thing, the Earnhardt camp and John Wayne people are all very much the same, they are really protective of this kind of thing. I only do works for people and their bikes. I did that one for Joe. I've have not had a run in with HD and hopefully never will. |

I've have not had a run in with HD and hopefully never will. You won't as long as you don't start printing and selling your works. However, I wonder how this works for authors that write books about Harley and or their customers that include photo's, art work, etc. Does anyone have any info on this? |
