Anybody there or been there? I used to drink something in the Koza city bars called a "super purple haze" that was made I think with Gin, Absinthe, and some liquor called Violet. It was really good ()and I'm trying to figure out the recipe.

i know it well.
you can't legally purchase actual absinthe in the states, man.
it IS just wormwood, though, and it grows wild all over the country. nearly identical to "ragweed" same genus, etc.
absinthe WILL give you a degree of irreversible brain damage.
stick with booze, man.

You can buy absinthe all over Europe. Ever seen "Moulan Rouge"? it's the "green fairy" references and what they were all drinking.
For best results filter through a sugar cube.

I have some absinthe. I just returned from Japan and was able to get some. Brain is already damaged so no worries!

Mojo! Wow, I haven't had that in years. Bike week you'll have to bring some.

You can purchase a synthetic Absinthe that has the same taste without the halluinigenic effects of the real thing. I have tasted both.

don't hafta tell me about the absinthe in europe.
i'm still a european resident (by past marriage).
i just don't touch the stuff unless i'm really sick. it's a prime ingredient in becherovka in the czech republic and zubrovka in poland.
if you're into mindbenders, stick with the things that don't actually damage your brain all permanent-like.
me- i am NOt a fan of altering my state, i find the world far and away plenty abstract as it is.

Ahhh... the good old says of purple haze, agent orange, mojo, bullfrog, and Habu-Saki. What ever possessed us to drink Saki with a pit viper coiled in the bottom of the bottle was beyond me.......
Or more likely I just don't remember.
