I might be up for that if the weather is anywhere close to being decent. Anybody from my neck of the woods want to make the ride? |

ohh-- sounds cool. Tough choice though. I have plans to be caving next weekend. let's see. 5 miles in the ground standing in 52 deg water in the dark. -or- freezing my but off on the ride up + back to the lake. Is anybody from along the way between peoria and chicago going? who would want to ride together? |

Bump... Looks like the friday showers are getting pushed out just a bit. But then again, we've gotten less rain this week than predicted... |

been a really dry summer -- teh accuracy of weather forecasting leads me to believe that playing the ponies may be a good revenue generation activity! |

Weather not looking too good right now. Might clear up tho. Why does it always seem to rain when you dont want it to? |

A canoe? The way it was raining earlier an Ark would have been more appropriate. |

I would have sat in the rain for the suspension class, if I lived closer. I could use it. |

Who went? Yesterday I was thinking about going but the rain this morning kinda dampened my spirits. Was it worthwhile? |

I was there until 1:00pm. Kind of sad. MAYBE 12 people. It got nicer after my son and I left, so I hope more people showed up. Nice part about it though was We got our picture with Erik. He signed my 8 year old sons hat, and we had a nice long talk with him due to the fact no one was there. I just think that it was a stupid time of the year to do it. Summer seems smarter to me. |

Wish the weather had cooperated. I really wanted to go to the event to see some good friends and get the suspension adjustment or at least the lecture. Weather is always a factor in this part of the country. Crisp and clear would have been perfect, but them's the breaks. Having just received a boat load of 2005 Buell's the timing for the dealer was probably good. A month or two earlier would have been nice, but you need to do what you can when you can. Hopefully, the event will just build their sales momentum over the next few months. You know...the old Attention, Interest, Desire, Close and Conviction sales process. |

it was rather sad. hardly anyone there. oh well. I learned that there are two other nuts in town that I didn't know who will ride for 4 hours in the rain. I did meet Bomber and a couple other guys. Can't remember exactly who though. We stopped at Starved Rock HD and my wife got a nice armored buell leather jacket. and the dealer gave us a nice free t-shirt for our troubles. I had great polish sausage too. I didn't meet to Erik. He kept busy belting out tunes with too much distortion. I did get a picture signed by Shawn Higbee. one good thing came of it. I got all inspired to machine a few parts for my bike. (thanks Bomber) untill now I had pretty much left it alone. not no more! |

grin -- my pleasure to serve, Brer D! I can't leave anything alone, which is why I'm not allowed with 10 feet of my wife's balst with a wrench in hand ;-} it was kinda sad, specially that the biggests group came up for Peoria!!! 4 hour aint that bad, 4 hours in the rain, while a pain, no doubt, was not enough to keep those haerdy souls at bay!! They outnumbered the local by aboout 4 to 1!!! The sales manager stated that he was already trying to put something similar together for next spring -- if nothin else, the event greatly magnified the dealer's interest in Buells, which can't be a bad thing! |

I was impressed with the dealer's commitment. If they keep it up I will be making more trips from Peoria! I just need to find more curvy roads between home and there. |
