I will be coming up on my 5k service. Do they change the plugs then or is it too early??? Also gonna switch over to Synthetic. What type of Plugs and oil do the majority of you nuts recommend???

The maintenance schedule calls for spark plug replacement at 10,000 mi. Of course, the condition of the plugs is going to dictate whether or not they should be replaced.

I use NGK Iridium spark plugs, Mobil 1 20W-50 V-Twin oil (+Buell filter), and 75W-90 gear oil.

yup sure is synthetic. I changed plugs at 5000 also, more out of habit then a real nead. It also let me get a look at the plugs. In the XB board you can check out the thread "Plug to read" to see what I mean by it being a warning indicator of a problem also.
