Went down to Harley Dealer that sold me the Buell Lightning XB12S(They stopped selling them 2 weeks later) and inquired about honoring my 2 year warranty and they said that they will always still service them and they will honor all warrantees!....WHEW!!! New to Buell and I don't know my arse from my elbow about them!!

Wait a minute, if they are no longer a Harley-Davidson/Buell dealership how can they officially be approved for warranty work on a Buell?

I'm back to being confused again.
(off to go find a rock to crawl under....)

Now this goes against what we have discussing on the other topic.

If it was a warranty sold by the dealer, not one sold by Buell, they would be obligated to honor it.

But the implication is that it's the initial 2-year Buell Harley-Davidson/Buell factory warranty. Unless that was clarified in the other thread.

Serving prior Buell customers is apparently acceptable. That is a bit different than a HD never been a Buell dealer selling parts.

"Serving prior Buell customers is apparently acceptable."

I wonder if Modesto knows this? Are Danny's 72 hours to research this up yet?

And we're not talking about never-been-a-Buell-dealer shops, we're talking about we-dropped-Buell shops. ; )

(wondering when the local news will happen, if it does, things change all the time, life is fluid, life goes on)
