Jose, with the other Buells I see snorkel intakes. I didn't see one on #64. Am I wrong, and if not, how was he cooling his bike off? Thanks for the pictures. Damn, by the time I got this up and asked my question you had already posted more. edited by southernmarine on May 30, 2004 |

Some bikes have it, others ($$) don't. Art Diaz #83 does not have any on his bike and he's fast anyway. From what I was told the ram air does not go into effect until they are going at least 100 mph, and it does not show up on the dyno when they test them! |

The slider to protect the shift linkage is a great idea. And this is not such a hot looking paint scheme at all. PS..obviously the clothes drier hoses must work, but there must be some way of making em better looking. Carbon fiber duct work maybe? |

#221 Walt Sipp, he raced in the Formula Extreme race last weekend at Pike's peak but his bike would not shift into 2nd and that's the best gear for that track according to Walt.

I think that single intake sucks. Looks as though it actually interferes with the riders aerodynamics by not allowing them to tuck down any lower. They make dryer vents that are flatter. |

PS No SV pictures because there are more SV's at this track than those freaking Ciccada's and this track was made for them. They will give the Buells all they can handle tommorow. |

That 121 Randy Rega guy? You should see his daughter. I go to school her. 20 years old and the hottest thing I've seen in years. Wish I had pics for you. Wish I were 20 years younger. Nice pics. |

Well now that they've finally got a clean inlet on the ram air, maybe next is the ducting. I'm sure someone will come up with a "standard" aftermarket setup that works and looks good. Just the way of capitalism. Thanks Jose, very fun to get a glimpse at the world of Buell racing, since I live removed from most of it. |

Obviously the clothes drier hoses must work Just what I was thinking I mounted some of that just the other day - in my basement mind you ... Great pictures - thank Josè I like that slider - could save your shift mechanism in a tip-over. Of course it might crack the primary cover as well if you hit it hard enough?? Henrik |
