Are you going to Zylstra's Buell demo day this Saturday? They are having that deal where if you test ride a Buell you get a Buell backpack. I'm thinking about going. I'm going to wait and see what the weather does though. It's supposed to be pretty cool and maybe rain. |

I didn't get a backpack! They had already ran out of them before I got there. I didn't even take a demo ride. I got there between 12:30 and 1. I had a couple of hot dogs and signed up to take a demo ride. They were only running three bikes, a 9S, 12S and Blast. Most people weren't taking out the Blast so only two people were going at once and they would be gone about 20 minutes. There was about six people in front of me so I ended up just leaving at about 2. It had started to get really cloudy and I didn't want to get caught in the rain and 50 degree temps when I was almost 40 miles from home. I saw a guy pull up on a white Firebolt. He found out that they were out of the backpacks and he got right back on his bike and took off. I don't think the fan had even stopped running on his bike. Like me, he just wanted to get a free backpack! |

John, I think I passed you on your way out. IA black M2 was taking a left onto S 169 as I was turning off of 169. Was that you? I was on my Blue M2 wearing a Buell Vanson jacket. I arrived at 2:10, the had already put everything away! Said they only had about 20 bags to start with anyway. I told them I would take my bueiness elswhere.

Nope, I've got a blue M2 but I must have passed you because I left at 2:00. Me and another guy were the last two people that signed up for a demo ride and that was probably a little after 1. Then they put everything away. I think that guy ended up leaving too without taking a ride. I'm going over to St. Paul HD probably tomorrow to see about a kickstand bumper. I'm going to ask them if they are doing the backpack give away. |

I just talked to St. Paul HD/Buell. They are all out of backpacks, none left! Oh well, should've looked into it a few weeks ago.

M2me, Make the trip to Appleton on the 15th. Let me know if you are coming and I'll stash one away for you. If you can't make it I can send it back with Bluz(if you trust him to actually give it to you) Email me at daves@h-dappleton.com |

Daves, Will you have a 12S for test rides available? If so please stash a bag for me if you can. But if you run out then that's okay too. |

It's going to be a zoo up here that day. I'll try and get a test ride for you but can't guarantee it. I have a 12S you can ride any day you want, just going to be tough with 1000 people here! I'll save you a bag. Any chance you can come up before the 15th to do the demo? Ride to the edge! Dave daves@h-dappleton.com |

Possibly, weather and time dependant. Prepping a utility trailer for a cross country run which has become the priority. Or might just sneak the bike out early next Saturday morning for a route check and drop in.

Might be doable. Not sure if I/we can make it up there by 7pm after work, but that might be another option. |

Dave, I'll gladly mule it back for John if needed. As for mine, it's waiting for me! I just have to run and pick it up.

Brad, Any idea of what time you expect to be there? Spending the night in Appleton, or making an Ironbutt ride out of it? |

Mike, I was going to Butt it but my riding buddy wants to spend the night. As far as arrival time, probably around 11:00 or so. Mapquest says about 300 miles. However, it does map a weird route. A more direct route is available I think. |

Brad, I-94 to either hwy-10 or hwy-21. 10 has some zig-zags to stay on the hwy but dumps you right into Appleton, 21 is more direct but dumps you into Oshkosh. Hwy-29 out of Eau Claire might be faster and a better road and will dump you into Green Bay and take you right past Doc's Harley/Buell/Zoo. There's a fairly direct route south from Doc's to Appleton but I don't know it personally except for looking at maps. I think "socoken" might be in the Eau Claire area and might know better routes time-wise to Appleton. See you there. |
