Yep, Good stuff. Proper preparation is important. Do it right and you wont be dissapointed. I did my garage a few months ago. It's been very durable so far and looks good. Timbo |

depending on budget and garage size, some of these flooring tile systems might be an idea: Race Deck Locktile USA Don't know anything specific about either company, but I've seen Race Deck advertising in RRW Henrik |

I used that paint last summer. It looks and holds up great. The only downfall the floor gets very, very slippery if anything gets spilled on it. Especially water or oil. But it sure looks pro! |

Roc I put down VCT Vinyl Composite Tile. I tried 2 part paints but really in my heart I wanted the tile. cost for the materials for a 17x20 garage were about $1.50 sqft from Home Depot. I installed myself. Looks fantastic..The maintenance is high. every 2 months you need to re wax to keep it looking good. Also the wax will turn yellow in spots under hot tires. The tiles are fine not heat affected just the wax. I coated a section of the tile with this acrylic clear sealer http://www.epoxy.com/ and it does not turn yellow. I also mixed in a clear micro polymer sharkskin dust from Homer's and you cant see them but even when wet..not slipery at all. When I have time I'm gonna strip and do the entire floor with the acrylic.

I painted half my garage with Griott's product, and half with Rustoleum . . . .. I will eventually strip the rustoleum side and paint with griots . . . . . the slippery problem, which can be really bad, can be avoided by sprinkling some sand between the first and second coats of paint . . . . don't need a lot, but it makes all the difference |

frank, you got some extra ponies in your stable since the last I was there? Or are those just "borrowed"? Well I see at least one new bike. You went with the white XB9S huh? Last year's model? |

Seeu . . . are those tile at all flexible? my floor is, ehem, slightly less than entirely flat (poured about 30 years ago in a climate with way too many frost cycles) |

Bomber they will crack in time if the surface is not true.VCT bomber is a more brittle tile. That terrible at hiding any imperfections. |

Bad . . .that's what I thought . . .. . thanks for the backup, though . . .. guess I'll stick with the paint . . . race deck and similar products are a little pricey for me |

Bomber I'm gonna make call to a friend of mine that is a contractor for installing flooring of all types and this is what I'm thinking of doing to my floor.Mind you the floor would of coarse have to be prepped correctly and they and all manufacture would suggest a perfect surface but thats in the prepping.www.rubberfloors.com its really a nice floor I take care of some of these floors in my services and they are as tough as nails. edited by bads1 on March 15, 2004 |

Nice bike and floor Donn, Thanks for the tips. One thing I would probably do different if I were to do it again, would be to not use the flecks they provide, but use sand (lightly) instead. This would not only give it better grip, but make it easier to find tiny washers and what not that get dropped on the floor from time to time. Timbo |

grin I went to the site, and it looks like great stuff . . .. unless they're having a huge fire sale, I imagine it would cost in the plus $1k range, which would put it into the "dream about" bucket, rather than the "I'm gonna do this" bucket . . . . |
