On the last image of the Apollo 14 shot, why is the LM shadow on the opposite side of all the other shadows in the shot... Geeze NASA, if your going to forge a photograph at least get the shadows on the right side! |

On the last image of the Apollo 14 shot, why is the LM shadow on the opposite side of all the other shadows in the shot... Because the LM is standing up from the surface of the moon and the craters go into the surface of the moon. Shadows appear where the sun doesn't shine. For example, something standing up will have a shadow on the opposite side of something that is indented. |

Those photos are really cool. I wonder what true resolution can be achieved as that is probably a secret. |

Reindog: Hopefully good enough to count the treads in the astronauts' boot prints. Even at this res those pics are fantastic. |

It hurts me to see how we've let the space program go to waste like we have. I'm from the Space Coast area (like 5 min. from Kennedy Space Center) and it really pains me to see how we came so far and look back on it, yet don't know how to look forward. |

I haven't seen that movie in years. Good thing netflix has it on "watch instantly". Damn, now I'll never get to bed. |

The human race makes technological advances when we explore space. Unfortunately they are lessons learned often times and they come at a high price. It is unfortunate that we have really stepped back on our push to get out there but it does cost a crap load of money and NOTHING is more unforgiving than that expanse of heavens above us. I truly hope in the near future our young ones have a greater hunger to expand and explore. Much can be said for the private sector, good and bad, but NASA even with it's failures has a great deal on their hands. I hope the new shuttle program hangs in there...this old "Space Bus" we have been using for decades needs to retire. Thanks for posting this. |

>> I have a piece of rock in a safe deposit box<< I wouldn't be surprised if Court "test rode" a Buell to the moon and fetched it himself... Erik did say he laid out a 200 year plan. Court may have quite a few odd things laying around, maybe a piece of Jimmy Hoffa to? Next year for HC Court, bring us some show and tell goodies so we can all sit around and listen to your stories about it and you even do some more 'Jazz Hands'! |
