Awesome pictures. Funny how those F18's suddenly look like old technology.

I got to see the Heritage Flight in LaCrosse a couple of weeks ago with just the F16 & P51. They flew about 6 laps together. It was pretty cool seeing that jet try to keep up with the plane.

Of course the coolest was when the Freedom Honor Flight landed with the WWII vets coming back from DC.

I was stationed at Cannon in 89-90 and worked in the Phase Maint, Lakenheath 90-92 working the flight line. My jet was 70-2399 and the 711. I cross trained into Space Systems Equipment Maint when the F-111F's we being transferred to Cannon and the 15E showed up. I was also at McClellan for the final US F-111 flight which was aircraft 445, I worked on that jet many times while it was at Lakneheath. Now I'm stationed at Aviano AB, Italy, assigned to the 603d Air Control Sq. In about a month I'll be moving on to be the Career Assistance Adviser for the 31 Fighter Wing. Are you still in?

One of my favorite planes from my favorite airplane designer. The Rutan Boomerang...

Somehow I think Burt Rutan and Erik Buell have a lot in common. Different in every sense!
