Through my part-time job, I have an opportunity to buy Bell helmets at a discount less than wholesale.

I'm considering buying the Star, but know next-to-nothing about them. I have a Shoei RF 900 now and am wondering if this will be a step up and how fit will run compared to what I have.

Thanks,

The new style Bell Star is a medium long oval for fit, has removable liner and comes with thick and thicker cheek pads.

Ventilation is second to none, ratchet on the face shield is well above avg.

The shield trigger lock disconnect/attachment is second to none, if you can ride with no hands for 5/10 seconds you can change shields on the fly if you so desire, other helmet manufactures should take notice.

The helmet/gear bag that comes with it is worth half the helmet price.

Buy it!!
I just got one and I love it. As stated, ventilation is second to none. The helmet has excellent aerodynamics. Sounds funny but the thing really glides through the wind, a noticeable difference from Shoei RF-800's or my HJC AC10.
Edit: If you are ordering, I have a XL which fits the same as my size L Shoei's. I measured using Bell's charts right on the border between a L and XL, I'm glad I got the XL as it's good and snug.
