I got a chance to ride about 8 different '09 Harleys/Buells yesterday. I thought I'd shed some prospective on the models I tried: '09 V-rod Muscle: This bike was probably the smoothest powerband on a bike I've ever ridden. I was very impressed with the handling of the bike as well. Comfortable riding position and great braking....HD hit the nail on the head with this one. '09 1125CR: What a great bike. The cornering was precise and the acceleration was great. I found the bike a little small for my 6'3" frame but very fun to ride no less. '09 1125R: Same handling as the CR but I didn't care much for the aggressive riding position. Coming from my Uly, I was really impressed with the power of the motor. '09 Softail Custom: Well, it looks good, thats about it. I didn't care for the reclined riding position at all. The brakes are horrible (compared to a Buell) and the cornering is not there. I'm glad some people can enjoy these but I was not impressed at all. '09 XR1200: To be honest, I used to have a 05 XL1200R Sporty and I didn't notice much difference in the XR1200 in terms of power. No doubt the suspension was much better, but I was not blown away by the power. A good amount, but no Buell! Streetglide: Probably the sweetest looking bike outta all of them. The bike handles very nice and is very predictable, Great bike but a little expensive for what you get. There were a few others that I tried too but these were the ones I remembered the best. All in all, I'd have to say that my '06 Uly is still my favorite bike! It's a great feeling to go try out a bunch of new bikes but be able to walk away knowing that your own bike is still your favorite |

I am gonna try to test ride a streetglide and/or roadglide and definitely another spin on a 1125CR next time I visit the dealer. |

Do the Roadglide. I can't believe the MC plans to drop that model next year. |

I don't think the Roadglides are selling. I haven't been there long, but I haven't seen one leave the floor. Ever. |

The Roadglide is the best riding touring bike HD builds. Too bad they are just too ugly for most people, myself included. We sold quite a few of them in Appleton. I don't think i ever sold one in Iowa. |

If you like the Muscle, you'd love the Street Rod. I too found the Muscle easy to turn, seems like the 240mm is a 180, it's pretty manuverable for a bike that's 630lbs. the XR1200 needs flatter bars, but is a decent bike. I'd still buy a Buell over it. When I helped out with a demo days last month, I also rode the Rocker. Epic fail as far as performance. Its all about looks. |

I didn't get a chance to ride one o' them heritage softails. I'd bet they are much better riding than the softail coustom due to the steeper rake and the FL front end. |

I've read in other forums that the Road Glide is being replaced with a Road Glide Ultra. Almost everyone who rides one in comparison with the other FL models will buy the Road Glide. Most people will not try it because they are terrified of not fitting in with the herd. |

I had a Street Rod. I think it was the best of all the VRSC models. I enjoyed it in the curves and on the straights, but after a ride on a Firebolt the VRSCR was gone. |
