Hey they added a bike to the foyer. That bike is my desktop pic right now. It was posted up here by someone awhile ago. Did they still have the more ratty looking blue race bike? (Message edited by svh on June 03, 2009) |

Nevermind I just saw a pic of it on Facebook in a shop somewhere with Erik. Looks like they may have moved it there for the press.

If I am not mistaken . . . that is the Rubber Workers Union RW750 in the photo. A couple interesting bikes, that never saw the light of day, were "found" that the statute of limitations is quickly approaching on . . . . . |

It is these things that I wish were displayed somewhere we could go and look at all the cool ideas. A mini-museum maybe. The prototype XB at the Harley Museum held my interest longer than everything else in the building. That type of stuff is so cool to me and would love to see and even spend a few $$ to see. |

There is an ongoing initiative to protect and restore "The Barn". It will likely be a private effort but it's just too valuable to allow to decay. What would Harley-Davidson give to have that small wooden shed (that was accidentally destroyed and thrown out by janitors who thought it was "junk" in the basement of 3700 Juneau) sitting intact in it's original location? A couple years ago we took a small group on a tour but that's kinda gotten tough with the numbers. |

Court, That was the 20th anniversary that we toured the barn. Was neat to see. To bad HD never bought John Mikosh's Prototype RR1000. Now theres a bike that deserves to be seen by everyone. |

WHY AREN'T THERE ANY BUELLS RIDING ON THE NORTH SIDE? Ummm, do I *REALLY* have to answer that? I think I've been on the North side of Milwaukee ONCE on my bike. And that was to visit a customer for a new job. No thanks.... To those that don't know. The North side of Milwaukee is generally not one of the nicest of neighborhoods. Keep the pics coming Barker! I'll post some up during the weekend as well. As well as some video of the races, and the rides. |
