looks like an awesome time, but pretty pricey if you ask me. Maybe find out the route and do it on my own.

ONE of these years I'm going to do one of those organized tours. From the trips I've planned and done myself, the price REALLY isn't that much different once you've totaled up how much you've spent at the end.

I confess to being enamored with two things . . .

1) Those trips look AWESOME and there is value in going with someone who knows the ropes. Particularly, as Jaime cited, when you "do the math".

2) Folks line up to pay those prices with little hesitation. I confess I've given serious consideration to such an itinerary in New York City. I **THINK** tourist from Europe and other countries, would be willing to pay a fair price to be picked up at their Manhattan hotel, plopped on a shiny new bike, and guided around some gorgeous roads for 3 days while their wives stay in NYC, go the Broadway shows and shop.

Jaime and Froggy . you'd make an excellent tour guides.

: )

I can't even guide myself. My Zumo died, and now I even second guess my route to commute to work. Thank god I got Google maps on my cell phone thats mounted to my handle bars!

I saw that in the latest catalog.

What interests me was the tour through Japan they did last year. If I remember correctly it was ~$14k w/bike rental.

I guess this year they decided to downsize some of their tours.

Steve could do the Midwest version of the Tour company you guys are creating. =)

As usual, I'd run TAIL on that.

Court, I think all my NYC tours would end up in either Chinatown or Little Italy (as if there's a difference these days). ; )

I'm trying to imagine how much fun I'd have with a couple dozen hungry bikers at La Mela!
