Bare bones idea of whats goin on: Show up at Hal's Ride to East Troy Hang out Ride the southern Kettle Moraine region for the rest of the afternoon Go home eventually Routes and timing to be determined. Initial estimates are less than 30 bikes in the ride due to it being a normal workday. Now watch 300 bikes show up. |

I think there will be many signatures once the cards start getting circulated. But due to the day of the week it's on (a Wednesday) and due to the weekend it's close to (Labor day and the H-D 100th) there may be choices to be made by people and some may choose to wait until the following week's weekend and meet up with Erik in person during the event and say howdy then (assuming Buell actually has anything separate planned for the week during the HOGfest). But, yeah, 200+ riders would be absolutelyfrickenlutelyfantastic |

Buell doesn't, that is why were doin this. Being so close to Labor day and the 100th is kinda why it was planned. (also no one gave me any suggestions ) It is on a wendsday because inside sources tell me that is one of the best days to catch Erik at the factory. |

Can you imagine if various Buell riders would join in the planned H-D route rides, but take semi-parallel routes? The HOG crowd follows the freeway and main arterials, and the Buell guys and gals take the curvy routes. Everybody shows up in the evenings and mornings for the food. Then at the destination have a picture show and competition to see who had the most fun on their cross-country rides, and to see who put on the most miles. More smiles per miles, more scenery per route. These are the things that rummage and meander around in the back of my mind. But we do what we can and work within the parameters that we must and life goes on. Time for my weekly ping at Buell.com to see what, if anything, is new. Also about time for another lap to see what's being tested in semi-visible locations. |

After our meeting on Tuesday, everyone was pretty enthused about doing something for the 20th. Here is what Brew City BRAG would like to offer: 1. Hospitality(doughnuts, etc) at Hal's during intial set up and staging. 2. Guides (leading and trailling) to East Troy and the Buell factory. Probably the the semi-direct route to help with a little time. 3. Guides to lead groups of 8 or so riders throught the Kettle Moraine for the not-so-direct route to nowhere. Afterwards possibly meet up at one of our top secret "destinations" for food, refreshment, and general tire kicking-bench racing. If any, or all, of this sounds good, let us know and we will begin planning on it. Jerry P.S. Court are you going to ride with us? You are whether you know it or not. |

I hesitate to state this, but if I still have two bikes at the time, Court can borrow one of mine for the day. |

I was think about a posible Track day at Black Hawk Farms. maybe a bike show at the factory with best in show etc. Awards for furthest ridden, stuff like that |

I think we should make minimal impact at the Factory for the sake of THEIR time. It is still a working day for them, and production lines probably need to keep things in sync. I would think that arriving at the factory about lunch time would help minimize the impact. A Track Day would be WAY COOL!! along with the mileage, etc. awards. Court-Even if I have to rent you one, your riding!! I could possibly be persuaded to let you ride the "EXTREMELY FAST AND NIMBLE SUNFIRE YELLOW BLAST WITH FLAMES", of course, that is if you can handle it. (Just lay off the refrieds for a day or so before the ride okay) |

I'll also "donate" a bike (if I still have 2) to anyone that may need a ride. |

I see some "win-win" opportunities. If nothing else, this needs to be a celebration of friendship and shared passion and I'm betting some of the factory folks would love to participate in some way. Part of the "coolness" is that they just don't make them, they build them and are afflicted with the same thing we are. I'm not sure I remember HOW to ride...besides, I already have a partial interest (Dave owns 100% - Court owns 0%) in an XB. Court |

I think if you and Dave show up two-up on that XB, that alone would deserve an award of some sort. (See the SacBORG thread on knee draggin.) |

Hmmmm...traditionally, the few times we've ridden two up, I've piloted. However, given: 1) It's his bike. 2) My performance at the 1998 new product intro. 3) My lack of XB seat time. 4) Tremendously elevated risk level I'd bet it that happened, I'd be on the back. |
