Got the D90 with 18-200 lens and a 16gb card this morning. On the charger now. Got a gig to photograph a Veteran and Vintage Scrambles race tomorrow too. I normally lease them - but a parallel import was 30% cheaper so my balance is looking sad. Weird huh - a little Indian dude can sell me one a whole $NZ grand cheaper than a Nikon Authorised dealer can. | ||

Smart buy. I've looked at all of them D300, D700, D3 and the D3X. The D90, for what I do, out performs them all. And . . allows the other $7,000 for lens over the 3X. Eager to hear your reports. | ||

A sweet camera from everything I hear. I have Canon gear myself. Since I don't make money with my gear, though, I can't justify/bring myself to buy new stuff. I am still shooting with older gear. Cameras and motorcycles, my two favorite past times and can't make a cent with either one. Well, I have shot a couple of weddings, but I didn't want to and don't plan to do that again. | ||

I've got the D90 and love everything about it. You won't be disappointed with everything you can do with it. | ||

I just bought a D80, my first DSLR. Even in the auto mode, it blows away my point and shoot. Just trying to learn how to set it up, and use it properly. Tons of reading to do. | ||

I'm not sure about entry level cameras sorry. a Nikon or Canon - if one is in the price bracket - will rarely be a bad choice. Olympus have been a good brand for me too. Jumpin........ I just started getting into photography and I started with a Panasonic DMC-FZ50. It's a GREAT camera!! It has all of the D-SLR feature but without the removable lens. It has a range of 35-420mm and takes great photos. Excellent entry level camera, one of the best according to DP Review. I used that for about 1 year and just bought me a D90 a few months ago. I couldn't be more happy with my Nikon. Now I'm looking to get me a 18-200mm ED VR Nikon lens. I have a 18-55, 55-200 & a 70-300 right now. |
