You GUYS go for it, get at least a 5 pound burger if there is at least 10 of you. Its like you take an ERC and want to use a training bike! Come on. If I wasn't so busy I would join you all. The 6 pounder we got was good, it did look like meatloaf. They have to cook it somehow! We cut it up like a pie they put all of the fixings on plates so you can pass around They give you a kitchen knife to cut it with. Only thing I didn't like it was SUPER busy and hot inside. I think the only other place that make big burgers like this is in Michigan somewhere. K |

Where did you rent a Uly? The only Buell I saw on Eagle Rider's list was a Blast (which was no choice for two-up). |

Those are Danburys HDs hours. According to 5guys.com, the hours for the one down the road from Danbury HD are
quote:Hours: 11am-10pm Everyday
While the burgers are good, I don't feel they are worth the ride up from Long Island. They got a billion other locations much closer to you. What is nice is that all the toppings except for bacon are free. Oh the fries are awesome, and still have the skin on them. |

If I could find a good burger joint in France, I'd go there. Only the ubiquitous MDs (gag) or French equivalent Quick (barf). Not even BK here! So when I want a burger I make my own; & the kids have demanded it for tonight, so I'll be cooking later. My favourite is with a medium mature Cantal cheese, Dijon mustard, Horseradish sauce, ketchup, & Garlic. Plenty of excellent top class cheap restaurants here though so we ride to them instead. Hey that is my City-x in the pic at Denny's from two years ago on ADV. I had my leather jacket over the air box cover. Lightning bags worked well for that weekend. Hyner had hang gliders jumping off of the mountain and soaring very high. Great roads and I miss my bike. Uly in 2010. |

Wonder why Toona aint been all over this thread. That is a nice 20 minute ride north from him. If you stop at Hyner Veiw then head south on rt 144 beware of gravel in the corners. The road is posted 35 mph most of the 30 miles(?) between Renovo and Snow Shoe which is on rt80 east of Clearfield. If you take rt 120 farther west then take rt 555 from Driftwood thru Benzette to Dubois there is a possibility of seeing the Elk chewing on people's yards and flowers. You will also pass one of the first nuclear power plants which was built and used by Piper in the '50's from what I understand. No you won't see it since it is back in the woods. Dubois is on rt 80 west of Clearfield. Take rt322 east is nicer but a little slower. The event at Denny's is on my calendar. They do not always precook the meat. I been there a few times we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a big burger even when it was not busy. Denny's is one of my "must stop at when in the area" places. mark61 |
