The battle between the Stars and Stripes and the Union Jack !! New for 2009, The TransAtlantic Challenge Class is added to the Battle of the Twins series, pitting Triumph Thruxtons against Harley Davidson Sportsters. The TransAtlantic Challenge replaces the Thruxton Cup for the 2009 AHRMA road racing season. Both marquees will compete in near Supersport trim to promote close, exciting racing. I may have to plan my day trip over to Daytona around this. I would really like to see it. I wonder how many bike will participate. Anyone have any idea how much it will cost to get in and watch? |

I wouldn't think that the Thruxton could really hang with a 1200 if they were both stock. I have always liked the Thruxtons but they seem underpowered. Maybe they will be using an 883? |
