Just what I thought, a poseurs dream come true.

yep, she be a looker, alright, but i bet i could put one on the box at the next BattleTrax.

Blake, that thing's got S1-2-Da-Max written all over it, the only significant differences being engine output and wheelbase.

i agree, you'd make a definite statement profiling your local hangout with it, but i'm betting from the photos you could make a definite statement on the track, too.

I've ridden a 2000 Hellcat that was avaialable at a meeting for potential investors in the company (venture capital guru is a friend of mine)....of the 20 or so in attendance I think only 2 of us actually rode the bike (myself and a Duc collector/amateur racer). The power was quite impressive and surprisingly smooth but I would dare say a bit exaggerated at the 135 or so claimed. The bike did feel heavy/slow handling (I bet it weighs more than the claimed weight)....both Duc boy and myself found the forward controls awkward and scraped the pegs in tame cornering maneuvers... brakes were awesome....louder than God's own thunder...weird feeling with your arse having nothing behind the seat. Neat niche bike but I'll stick with the Buells.
BTW...last I heard they were still soliciting investors. Don't remember exact details but something like $50K investment allowed you to buy one at 10% above cost; $100K got you one at cost; $250K or so got you one for "free".

Ferris,

On the track? Like an S2? The only significant differences being engine and wheelbase?

I think it would handle like a pig on sleeping pills... more rake/trail, heavier, mucho scrapage, WAY too wide rear tire. Nah, it is a dragbike with huge poseur apeal.

Blake, my offer still stands: you hoodlums secure me the rights to one (buy it, steal it, i don't care) and i'll take it out and answer your questions in the flesh.

i'd LOVE to take a Top Time of Day in BattleTrax on this puppy, just to show it could be done ;)

I have always liked the confederates. I liked that he changed around the tranny to fit tighter to the motor, etc.

I just couldn't afford one, and I would have to change the forward mounted pegs.....

$17,000 or best offer, huh?
-I have a 96 Ducati 900 sscr in great shape.
$5300
-I have a 95 Buell S-2 in great shape, red on white. $5200
-I have a Honda CBX 81 model, in great shape with bags and fairing, for $3900
Are we getting close to an OBO trade for the confederate? Let me know. REX

Rex: The Duke, the S2 and some cash might work. I'm not mechanic enough for anything with 6 carburetors!
