YEah - we left early today (Palmdale) I'm trying to get permission to post pics taken by our photographer at work but may have to wait til tomorrow for that. ALL major highways through the passes are closed. I shot some emails to friends and family in Wisconsin... and got NO SYMPATHY! (though I wondered what would happen if they had ALL their annual snow fall happen in just one morning) |

Glad I usually work from home, no need to "thankfully" travel in this mess. I grew up back east in Pennsylvania so do not mind driving in this but it is all the other idiots I do not like being on the road with. |

Sorry guys, Here in Central Florida it's about 78 with a predicted high of 80. Going down to 60 tonight. But with the wind chill it will feel like 55. Brrrrr! |

This is one of those 10-15 days a year here in So Cal that riding is not pleasant. I'll post some Sunday ride pics next time there is a major snow in the mid west or east coast... |

Las Vegas got SHUT DOWN with snow yesterday... Today will see some melt-off. New storm is forming. Pic from yesterday looking toward the engineering offices.

Well you gotta remember the pic Steve posted above is from the desert region of Southern California at around 2500 feet elevation. |

Yeah, I take &$^# from friends and family who live in WI - but I ask what would happen if they had their ENTIRE annual snowfall happen ALL in one 12 hour period. It has been interesting... but just 10 inches shut our freeways down for about 12 hours |

having lived near Slaughter for ten years, and remembering that a heavy rain in SoCal will make the evening news, that pic above is pretty impressive. |

come to Seattle, an inch will close down the freeways, 8 will get you a state of emergency |
