Motorcycles Riders Can Not Get It Up?

As if riding motorcycles isn't dangerous enough! Already we've seen cancer scares, the obvious deadly accidents and the fact that we are branded organ donors.

But a Japanese study beats them all. According to a group of scientists in Japan who surveyed 150 motorcycle riders, 46% of them could not have an erection after riding for 3 hours! Or they had problems relieving their bladders.

A previous study (in 2006) showed that from a group of 230 riders, 70% suffered erectile dysfunction! According to the scientists, the problem is a result of the vibrations caused by the motorcycle.

Well, from personal experience, I have the opposite effect. Maybe the problem is the bikes they ride in Japan. But if motorcycle vibrations are the cause, wouldn't every male Harley-Davidson rider be doomed?

I think not....

It's not the riding, it's the type of motorcycle. They ride those "ring a ding ding" sounding bikes with 18,000 rpm vibrations. In three hours of riding, their body thinks it's "busted one" a hundred times, no wonder they can't get it up.
Now us Buell and Harley-Davidson riders with our BIG twins have that slow "potato potato potato" type of vibration that just naturally has that "wood" building feeling.
I can't speak for everyone else, but after riding several hours just the thought of a naked Japanese woman makes me want to "git er done" if you know what I mean.

No offense to any nationality, but, leave it to the Japanese to draw unproven conclusions from a vague set of test conditions.

Not so much the physical vibrations as it is the EMF of the charging system situated squarely beneath the 'nards.

EMFs are linked to both low testosterone and sperm counts.

I'd say poor seat design, coupled with the high freq. buzzy vibes of a IL4 was the culprit. A Uly rider should have no problems. A S1 rider..... well..... 1/2 the problems.

Bicycles had a problem with the skinny seat pressing on nerves. For the last 10 years or so, smart riders rode a seat with a depression, or slot in the middle. In a burst of cosmic irony, skinny saddles are better for long rides, and wide, comfy saddles are only good for short rides. Chafing, you understand.

EMFs are indicated in endocrine abnormalities, while physical vibration is not.

Great. Now they are going to look for more (insert endangered species here) gall bladder to help with erectile dysfunction.

Sheeitt - I thought it was because I was an old fart.

I gotta call my attorney.

Maybe we can force Buell Customer Service into offering some appropriate compensation?

There's a link between bicycles and Impotence, because of the proximity of the seat to the nerts.

Well-documented link, but it has more to do with the centralized pressure point of typical bicycle saddles.

Being as MC saddles share no such organ grinder feature, it's not really so analogous
to this study.

Maybe Erik would foot the bill to send call girls, door to door, to act as "fluffers" for all of us one-nard in the shittter Buell riders....

Skip the regular Pro Series fluffers and wait for the good stuff out of the race department.

Sorry but I don't see the problem here, my bike does what I want it to and doesn't talk back, is ready when I am and never complains when I done. Of course this may be the reason why I don't mind riding in the rain, it's the only time I get wet.

Anyone who thinks riding a Japanese motorcycle for more than three hours makes it difficult to pee hasn't ridden with my crowd...

Yeah, but when they surveyed just regular non motorcycle riders they found that they completely lacked their nards so obviously the test is invalid.

I may be past the 1/2 way mark but certain bits aren't aware of it. As for the urination difficulties, I am constantly pulling over to urinate, so much so that it is a problem. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I ride a bicycle with a skinny saddle too. Bravo Sierra.

Yep! Hence Johnnylunchbox's post a ways above.
Bear in mind that Japan had outlawed "The Pill" for a long, long time, due to the fear of synthetic estrogens fouling the water supply and further feminizing their male populace.
The average Japanese male is seriously obsessed with the threat of feminization.
Watch outcha don't grow a Vag, there, Mr. Sulu.....(Now that I think of it, that actor recently married another guy....must have been all the riding)
