Brings back some memories.... I remember the artwork....had the Beatnik Bandit Hot Wheels at one time. Had to give that one and about a hundred more when I was deemed "too old" to have toys.
Reminds me and maybe DD you can help me out. On the hunt for a RF mask. Seems they are discontuned un the US and getting hard to find. Anyone with tracking on one please let me know!
Always been a Ratfink fan, my younger brother made me a couple keychain sized ones from silver in crafts class, still got one. My son got me The Art of Big Daddy Ed Roth for my birthday, very cool. And they just had an Ed Roth exhibit at one of our local car Museums a couple months ago, lots of great stuff!
I got all my recent trinkets from a local hobby retailer who was my (our - 57?) vintage.
He buys in from the US. I need an excuse to drop in and ask him. He had a Revell Beatnick Bandit kit when I was there last - but I was on a Harley and had no way of carrying it. I'll call back in and ask.
No doubt you've googled?
I would have liked to have see that exhibit Jim - and I have that book too. Some of the dark side stuff is pretty dark huh.
Still amuses me all the teen girlies in pink Von Dutch tank tops. If they only knew.
I grew up and largely forgot about Kustom Cultcha. I got switched back on to it by Rikki Rockett - who shares motorcycle tastes. We talked online and he's tight with the pinstripers that were part of the scene - creative people.
All the current chopper builder 'media' owe something to Big Daddy imo.
Nachtflug over at ADV has a connection and sends me photos of exhibits too.
