Got back last night from a trip to Lake George NY from Lancaster Pa. What an awesome ride! We ended up with 1050 miles, most of which was enjoyable except for a short stint in New Jersey (no offense). I know that 1000 miles is nothing to some of you, but that was my goal. The XB ran awesome, especially in the crisp mountain air. The only wierd thing is that our tires ( all different brands) were peeling after a couple hundred miles. I suppose this is due to the heat and friction of the road. What is the most mileage you guys have put on in a weekend?? |

Most in a "weekend" for me was about 1500 miles. Thursday - Albany, NY to Charlottesville, VA Friday - Charottesville, VA to Suches, GA Saturday & Sunday - Riding around Suches a little Monday - Trailor breaks down in Wilks-Barre, PA, so ride the rest of the way home. In a true 2-day period, it was exactly 999 miles. |

Wow man thats awesome. Next summer I wanna make the trip from Pa down to Deals Gap aka Tail of the Dragon. Hopefully I still have a bike to ride back home after hitting those corners! But I hear and see so much about that stretch of road that I just have to check it out. |
