Apparently Cincinatti ; )
In the Greater Cincinnati area, there have been annual celebrations since 2004 with the central theme of Goetta .

"The "Original" Goettafest is an annual cultural and culinary celebration held in Covington, Kentucky, just across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. Covington has a rich heritage of German immigrants and this festival is held in MainStrasse Village, an area of Covington a few blocks from the Ohio River. In 2006 this celebration was held June 17 and 18. It also includes a small German based Renaissance festival across the street from the main Goettafest:" Wikipedia

I dont know if it goes as well with OKRA as Chitlins & Hushpuppies.

Thanks, Teeps!

Next time I'm in or near Cincinnati, I'll just have to sample some. Might be tasty. Hold the okra, if you please.

I think the last time I was thru there was early '72. Hitchhiking, in the snow. Bad memories, if I remember correctly.

Looks like what I had with breakfast in Germany last week. I couldn't figure out what it was, but it was damned tasy. Now I know. Thanks!

Good thing is that it looks the same coming out as it did going in.

Bit like Fosters Beer and Kangaroo meat in Aus.

I like it, but what can I say, I like Okra as well. Clearly, I have issues.

The secret to both is salt and butter : )

With enough salt & butter, even crow tastes OK.

Give me your mailing address Reep - I'll send ya ALL my okra.
