I finally got around to watching a few of my American Thunders on tivo.

The episode at the Arlen Ness' bike show had a custom builder making retro board track racers. They were actually mopeds.

Very cool.

I ended up deleting the episode before I remembered to write down the build's name. I felt stupid...

I have looked online but they do not list show details on their site.

Anyone happen to know who this builder is?

Can't remember the name. It was a father and son team, nice bikes that are legally mopeds. High mileage, century old styling, likely very fun. Would make a nice alternate to the scooters people are buying for mileage.

OH YES!!! TEDDY FTW!!!

I was on google last night for an hour looking for this company. In the process I found out there are many that do this. Some are marketed as motorized bicycles (not licensed/registered), and only a few make them street legal.

One of these might be my next grocery getter

Your a little backwards. You do not need a special license (other than a drivers license) to operate a moped.

In WA state any engine motorized vehicle needs a license.
I looked into a motorized bicycle, and although most people do not you legally need a plate.
If it is electric you do not need any of this.
