Seems like the gsxr 750 may be making a comeback, should be interesting to see if the Buell can top that pack though. After all this it could still end up being the yoshimura suzuki show. |

I believe there will also be accompanying weight, intake, and horsepower restrictions to create parody. They know that this is not an equal field, and will want to maximize factory participation and spectator brand loyalty. The new NASCAR. |

Spatten, boy was THAT ever a "Freudian Slip." I THINK you meant "parity" which is defined as "equality, as in amount, status or character" and NOT "Parody" which is defined as "any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation, as of a person, or event, etc." So in MY thinking, Daytona Superbike IS a parody of Superbike competition in general... |

Formula extreme has been in effect 600 superbike since the last rules revision which was done to protect superbike as the top tier when superbike went to 1k. If you look at the current formula extreme bikes they are definitely modified in the same ways and to nearly the same extent as the superbikes are. What they are doing is putting a little truth in the naming of the class by calling them superbikes. Besides the "formula" went out the window when they made the rule changes to allow for the different displacement and configuration bikes. |
