I'm doing some research and wanted to know if there are any Buell's in the USA that have covered 40,000 plus miles? CJ - England |

At the Third Tradition Motorcycle Club's 15th annual bash I came across an S2T with 61k on the clock. I parked my Cyclone next to it in hopes of meeting the owner but when I came back the S2T was gone. Mike L. '99 Cyclone (14k miles) |

Some good feedback there - thank you. I'd hoped that American owners would have covered bigger mileages than UK riders, owing to the simple fact that the USA is big, very big, and you've had Buell's a lot longer than us. CJ - England |

Well I must admit that there some riders out there that DO ride. My 00' X-3 just turned 26k last week. Not bad for 18 months. If I had kept Sparky the mileage would be over 50k miles since June of 99', but Sparky needed another home besides mine. So Josh, how come you've slowed down . Time2Ride Neil S. P.S. CU in the Ozarks this weekend and STL all next week. |

I feel I've got a contribution here: 96 S1 76k+ 98 S3, 45k+ 03 XB, 1896 this morning. And don't overlook S2 rider Gordon Buhle, BRAG Highest Mileage award recipient at the Calif Touring Adventure with 106k+ miles. Miles of smiles, Sparky |

Hmmmm??? High mileage Buell's??? I am planning to change my oil this weekend as I am approaching 82,500 miles on my 1995 S2 Thunderbolt. Since I now live near the coast in North Carolina I should be able to put more miles on in a year. The majority of the miles were put on in a 7 month riding season back in Wisconsin. 1313 |

I had a '98 S3-T with 60,000 miles on it. I traded it in on a '00 M2 that I've only put 20,000 on (it just turned this week). Once I got married, I went from 30,000 miles a year to only 10,000 miles per year. I do smile a lot more, though. |

Ah,the Brankin Brehmer who was nice enough to give me a tour when I was there in 1996--after the receptionists treated me sooo badly I almost left.I should have known. After riding my S-2,he came back and told me I could not leave as my handlebars were recalled. He whisked my bike into the back(where I was not allowed to see)and in a flash I had new handlebars courtesy of Buell. Thanks again for the great treatment. |

Sorry for the delay in replying. I sold my 2001 Dyna Wide Glide Wednesday night, and I'm getting ready for a month in Berlin, Germany (leave on Wednesday). Sadly S2 #1313 won't be making the journey with me, but at least I will be back in time for the Deal's Gap adventure! To answer some posts: Dave Gess: C'mon Dave, you know I'm a nice guy. Besides now, nobody will recognize me in my disguise. How do you like your Firebolt? Court: Greener pastures, being able ride more in the year (sure hope it will be year round), and respect for my efforts made me change location. Not being around motorcycles everyday is kind of a let down, but working for a German company, that a lot of the colleagues in Germany ride, makes it manageable. Fireman Jim: I thought that was you all these years (well maybe it has been months) that I have seen your name in Battle2Win and with Team Elves, but wasn't sure. It's good to hear from you. Glad you are still enjoying your S2. Congrats on the 2nd S2. I will give a full report of Buell happenings from my month in Germany. I was over for a week at the beginning of May and went to a H-D/Buell Dealer in Berlin, and saw an M2 on one of the main streets in Berlin. I have established some contacts in Berlin, so I am hoping for some exciting expreiences to share. L8R, 1313 |

Over 29k on my 1998 S1W, but I did a top end rebuild at 19,324 miles because of a holed piston. Usually ride my bike to work, 58 miles round trip. |
